B&MI Data Foundations is an engineering pillar that builds and operates the shared data services, platforms and tooling underpinning analytics and AI across B&MI. Its remit spans data ingestion and processing, reusable datasets, data quality and consistent access, alongside environments for research and customer data workflows.
The team owns the engineering and ongoing operation of these capabilities, with a focus on automation, reliability and reuse. It adopts enterprise platforms where they fit and builds shared solutions where needed, so product and research teams can work with reliable data without each team developing and maintaining its own infrastructure.
What we're looking for
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or accelerated Master's degree, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
- Foundational knowledge of databases, data warehousing, data analytics, or related data technologies.
- Previous internship in Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, data processing, or problem-solving.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts, techniques, and common applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in working with large datasets.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- This role is not eligible for Mastercard's work authorization sponsorship.
