What you’ll do:

Content Strategy and Editorial Development

  • Support the firm's global digital content strategy and editorial priorities across websites, campaigns, blogs, resource centers, and other digital platforms, identifying emerging issues, audience interests, and content trends to develop timely, relevant editorial ideas and creative approaches.
  • Write, edit, restructure, and optimize digital content, translating complex legal and business topics into clear, compelling, accessible, and audience-focused communications.
  • Develop content briefs, headlines, summaries, page structures, calls to action, metadata, and other editorial materials that align with firm standards and business objectives.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities for new, refreshed, or consolidated content, including timely initiatives responding to significant market, regulatory, or firm developments.

Website Content Development and Quality Assurance

  • Develop and optimize content for the firm's global websites, including practice, industry, lawyer, office, recruiting, alumni, and thought-leadership pages.
  • Partner closely with the Web Content Manager and Web Content team on content planning, development, publishing, and optimization, providing editorial direction, content requirements, and quality feedback to ensure consistency and alignment with firm standards.
  • Review staged and published content for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and adherence to established brand, editorial, and content governance standards, including metadata, tagging, templates, and publishing workflows.
  • Support content audits, lifecycle management, localization, and regional adaptation while maintaining consistency across the firm's digital platforms.

Search Optimization and Digital Performance

  • Conduct keyword, search-intent, audience, competitor, and topic research to inform content development and apply SEO, metadata, internal-linking, and structured-content best practices to improve organic visibility across traditional search, answer engines, and AI-assisted discovery.
  • Monitor content performance using analytics and search tools, identifying opportunities to improve visibility, engagement, audience journeys, and conversion.
  • Support content testing and experimentation involving headlines, page structures, calls to action, and digital formats.
  • Assist with dashboards, performance reports, and content audits, translating findings into actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

Digital Experience and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Contribute editorial recommendations to website redesigns, migrations, platform enhancements, launches, and campaigns while managing content assignments, stakeholder input, reviews, approvals, and deadlines with accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with UX, design, web development, analytics, marketing, communications, public relations, and business development teams, building strong relationships with lawyers, professional staff, and external partners while providing guidance on digital content requirements, editorial standards, and audience considerations.
  • Support the responsible use of generative AI and emerging technologies within established content standards and workflows while staying current on digital publishing, accessibility, search, and content marketing trends

What sets this role apart:

  • Digital Innovation: Work with evolving digital content practices, including SEO, AI-assisted discovery, analytics, accessibility, and emerging technologies that are shaping how audiences find and engage with information.
  • Creative Impact: Contribute original editorial ideas and creative approaches that help translate complex legal and business topics into compelling digital content, strengthening the firm's thought leadership and online presence.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in digital content, digital marketing, editorial strategy, website content, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience writing, editing, proofreading, researching, and optimizing content for complex websites or digital platforms, with strong editorial judgment, digital storytelling skills, and the ability to develop original content concepts and translate complex information into engaging, audience-appropriate content.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO, content optimization, search intent, metadata, internal linking, and content-authority principles, with familiarity with AI-assisted search and emerging digital discovery practices.
  • Experience with enterprise content management systems, preferably Sitecore, and familiarity with web analytics and search tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, Semrush, and Siteimprove.
