You are an analytical and entrepreneurial finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You’ve operated at the intersection of modeling, decision-making, and leadership—and you're excited to level up the role of Finance in a scaling SaaS business.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Director of FP&A to help drive Canary’s next phase of growth. This individual will be responsible for owning company-wide planning and building financial reporting infrastructure. The Director will act as a strategic partner to Leadership delivering insights that shape decision-making across the business.
Responsibilities
- Drive annual and quarterly planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across all departments
- Develop framework for conducting a comprehensive understanding of financial performance against budgets and ongoing forecasts
- Maintain dynamic operating models, forecasts and dashboards to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning
- Execute monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for executive leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders
- Strengthen financial reporting infrastructure and collaborate cross-functionally to improve tools, systems, and data integrity
Qualifications
- Strategic FP&A leader with experience owning company-wide planning and reporting cadences
- 8-10 years of work experience across a high-growth SaaS environment
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, budgeting and financial analysis
- Demonstrated experience in leading small, agile teams while balancing IC responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, metrics, and reporting
- Proficiency in financial systems / language
- Track record of involvement in capital raises, direct investments, or M&A
- Investment Banking or Private Equity experience is a plus
- International experience is a plus
Compensation
Target cash compensation ranges from $195,000 - $240,000, including a fixed annual salary and a performance-based bonus paid quarterly.
This role also includes a stock option grant, subject to board approval.
Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's skill level, experience, and specific work location.
