 Why Charlie Health?

Millions of people across the country are navigating mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and eating disorders, but too often, they’re met with barriers to care. From limited local options and long wait times to treatment that lacks personalization, behavioral healthcare can leave people feeling unseen and unsupported.

Charlie Health exists to change that. Our mission is to connect the world to life-saving behavioral health treatment. We deliver personalized, virtual care rooted in connection—between clients and clinicians, care teams, loved ones, and the communities that support them. By focusing on people with complex needs, we’re expanding access to meaningful care and driving better outcomes from the comfort of home.

As a rapidly growing organization, we're reaching more communities every day and building a team that’s redefining what behavioral health treatment can look like. If you're ready to use your skills to drive lasting change and help more people access the care they deserve, we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

The Director of GTM Strategy & Operations is a partner to Charlie Health's VP of GTM Strategy & Operations. You will own the end-to-end decomposition of revenue performance, from lead through opportunity, booked assessment, and admission, and leverage that diagnosis into decisions about near-term maneuvers and long-term bets across staffing, workflows, tools, incentives and more. You will also lead projects as an individual contributor and collaborate with the rest of the team across a variety of initiatives. The role has no direct reports at hire.
Alongside the VP of GTM Strategy & Operations, you will drive strategic planning (annual, quarterly OKRs), run the operating cadence (monthly/weekly business reviews) and coordinate project management across the organization.

Success requires exceptional analytical range, structured problem solving with incomplete information, the judgment to commit to a call and defend the tradeoff, cross-functional leadership, exceptional communication skills, a bias for action, and a willingness to dive into both the strategic and tactical work needed.
We're a team of passionate, forward-thinking professionals eager to take on the challenge of the mental health crisis and play a formative role in providing life-saving solutions. If you're inspired by our mission and energized by the opportunity to increase access to mental healthcare and impact millions of lives in a profound way, apply today.

Responsibilities

  • Business Performance Decomposition
    • Own the end-to-end decomposition of revenue performance across the funnel, partnering with members of the team focused on each function and rolling up analysis to executive-level read-outs
    • Harden the diagnostic system so the same question returns the same answer every week: fixed definitions, explicit grain, consistent maturity handling, and a standing set of cuts
    • Tie performance to the operating plan, working closely with Growth and Finance to move in lockstep when building forecasts and monitoring relative outcomes
  • Major Workstreams
    • Uplevel after-hours and weekend coverage in the admissions organization to ensure we uphold our high standard for service around the clock
    • Partner with functional stakeholders to design “what good looks like” operating frameworks at every level from individual contributor to management
    • Map out the customer journey (patients and referral sources), partnering with Sales, Marketing and Product, to optimize our engagement model and identify areas of improvement
  • Planning, Cadence and Team Coordination
    • Partner with the VP of GTM Strategy & Operations to run the quarterly and annual planning cycles: targets, OKRs, initiative prioritization, and resourcing
    • Run the operating cadence and business reviews
    • Collaborate across workstreams led by other members of the team to keep efforts coordinated, design choices sound, and best practices applied
    • Represent the function to executive stakeholders in weekly reviews and formal written comms

Requirements

  • AI-first operator who is consistently upleveling their use of AI tooling to create leverage and expand impact
  • 6+ years of work experience, including:
    • 1+ year (2 or more preferred) at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or private equity firm
    • 3+ years in Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, or a General Manager role at a high-growth company
  • Experience decomposing trends across large, complex data sets and building the context to make business decisions
  • Track record leading a cross-functional rollout that changed how a frontline team works, carried through resistance and escalation
  • Experience with strategic planning processes (OKRs) and running weekly or monthly business reviews
  • Highly proficient in Excel/GSheets and fluent in a BI or notebook environment (Hex, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
  • Exceptional written communication: compressed, specific, quantified, built for executive readers
  • In-person in New York City
