The Team You’ll Work With

As the Director of Sales, Private Equity - Fund Admin sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth across our suite of Fund Administration solutions to Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate Funds. You will lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of sales professionals, guiding them in introducing top tier clients to our comprehensive product offerings—including Fund Administration, portfolio management, reporting and analytics, investor management, investor portal, valuations, and data collection.

In this leadership role, you will oversee consultative sales processes that highlight the value of our best-in-class fund administration platform and services team, tailored to meet clients’ evolving reporting needs. You’ll champion our technology, ensuring it meets the needs of both fund GPs/Admins and their investors/LPs, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and client success teams to drive product adoption and market expansion.

The Problems You’ll Solve

The primary problem set to solve is simply growing new business in our Private Equity Investors sales motion (first derivative of month-over-month and year-over-year net new ARR growth).

  • Lead, manage, and enable a team of ~10 Enterprise Account Executives to hit their quota and revenue targets while creating a world class customer experience and representing Carta in the Private Equity Firm ecosystem
  • Driving holistic GTM motion where Marketing, Channel and Sales are all operating as one team, driving to a common goal of increasing ARR and market share
  • Foster a culture of training and coaching in order to ramp new reps and continue building their sales acumen as well as Carta value knowledge
  • Reinforce inputs and activity metrics that enable reps to successfully hit and exceed quota
  • Partner with recruiting to continually build a bench of strong talent for the sales org
  • Work cross-functionally with sales enablement to develop, implement, and refine new hire onboarding and improve ramp time
  • Lead from the front: Participate in active deals to help drive towards closed won opportunities
About You
  • You are experienced in the private markets landscape, especially Private Equity and Private Credit, as well as are a subject matter expert in Fund Administration
  • You have a track record of not only leading a quota-carrying Sales team, but of exceeding quota yourself.
  • You also have 10+ years of experience leading Sales or Business Development teams and managing across multiple business lines and sales cycles.
  • You have experience with, and potentially existing contacts within, the private capital markets community (lawyers, investors, bankers, accountants, etc.) as well as within the General Partner / Limited Partner / Founder communities.
  • You are a strong communicator with presentation and networking skills, specifically experience meeting with C-level executives and decision makers. You understand the SaaS business model, and may even have experience working in and/or are passionate about the alternatives market ecosystem.
Salary
