Overview:
Strategy & Operations is an instrumental function for the Global Solution Engineering Center of Excellence to help evolve the Solutions Organization into the next generation of talent, drive alignment between Product and Sales, and accelerate Salesforce’s path to $50B.

The Director of Program Management will own and drive key initiatives across the CoE, with a primary focus on leveraging data and analytics to inform strategy, drive decision-making, and accelerate the execution of critical projects. This role will ensure that data-driven insights, dashboards, and analytics are at the forefront of the CoE’s decision-making processes, enabling better outcomes across the organization. Their primary focus will be executing against the objectives laid out in the Solution Engineering CoE V2MOM, including support of the global Solutions Engineering G4G process as well as global Solution Engineering High Performance Culture rollout & execution. 

The Director will partner with Solutions Executives, Product Executives, and other key stakeholders across Salesforce to develop and execute strategies that align with organizational goals. In this capacity, the Director will lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational effectiveness, align teams, and drive performance at scale. The role will also be responsible for creating dashboards and reporting tools that track progress, measure success, and identify opportunities for optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management Leadership: Lead the end-to-end execution of global programs, ensuring alignment with key objectives and milestones. Develop comprehensive program plans, tracking systems, and reporting tools to ensure transparency.

  • Cross-Functional Relationship Building: Build strong, collaborative relationships with senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning. Partner with Solutions, Product, Sales, Marketing, Sales Strategy, Enablement, and other functional leaders to define key metrics and deliverables. Align teams on strategy and priorities to drive successful outcomes.

  • Drive Strategy and Innovation: Leverage data and analytics to continuously refine and adapt strategies. Work with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions, ensuring that the Solutions CoE delivers maximum impact in line with Salesforce’s broader goals.

  • Create Analytics Dashboards for Continus Improvement: Develop and maintain data-driven dashboards that track the performance of key initiatives, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for senior leadership. Leverage analytics to support strategic decision-making and optimize resource allocation across the Solutions Organization.

Skills & Expertise Required:

  • Program Management Experience: Demonstrated track record of managing large, cross-functional, data-driven programs. Ability to oversee complex projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Strategic Leadership: Experience working closely with senior leadership to define and execute strategic initiatives. Ability to balance long-term vision with short-term priorities and drive execution at scale. Exceptional ability to present data and insights in a clear and compelling manner to senior executives and key stakeholders.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work across functions and geographies. Skilled at managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels, acting as a connector between technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong Analytics and Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proven experience using analytics, data visualization, and dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to drive business strategy, measure performance, and optimize processes. Ability to assess complex data and distill it into actionable insights that inform strategy and decision-making. Familiarity with Solutions data is a plus.

  • Proactive and Results-Oriented: Self-motivated, resourceful, and focused on delivering results. Comfortable taking initiative and leading new projects with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Scope of the Role:

  • Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of data-driven projects and programs.

  • Ensure all programs are delivered on-time, within scope, and aligned with data-driven metrics.

  • Develop and execute detailed project/program plans to track progress using analytics and dashboards.

  • Measure program performance and make real-time adjustments to optimize outcomes.

  • Regularly brief executives and key stakeholders on project status, risks, and opportunities, utilizing data-driven insights.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution of global solutions projects.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $171,200 - $273,000 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $205,800 - $298,400 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
