Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time.

Tempus is seeking a Director, Strategy & Operations to drive product ideation, strategy, and execution for novel multimodal AI products custom developed with Life Sciences partners. This role will be responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle, from developing product concepts, based on scientific hypotheses and customer needs, through development, launch, commercialization, translating and ensuring alignment with partners’ business strategies and objectives.

The Director, Strategy & Operations will take a highly collaborative approach with key stakeholders from Life Sciences companies to ideate new products, and define associated roadmaps. • Translate early stage product ideas and proof-of-concept results into well-defined product profiles and clear roadmaps, considering partner needs.

  • Drive clear communication and alignment with partners for all product-related workstreams.

  • Manage the product lifecycle for Life Sciences custom products from inception and proof-of-concept through product development, launch, go-to-market, and post-market evaluation.

  • Collaborate with internal medical, AI, and translational research subject matter experts to determine feasibility, technical approach, and drive execution.
  • Optimize internal processes to improve product lifecycle delivery and time-to-market.

  • Collaborate with quality and regulatory subject matter experts to ensure ongoing compliance with Paige and Tempus’s regulatory obligations and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or strategy at the intersection of healthcare and technology, including responsibility for the vision, strategy, and roadmap of complex products in regulated environments.

  • Proven track record (2+ years) of managing AI products through the entire lifecycle, from ideation to launch (0 to 1).

  • Extensive experience in customer and/or partner management

  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and engage diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels.

  • Deep familiarity and demonstrated understanding of the drug development lifecycle.

  • Familiarity with molecular biology, translational medicine, and diagnostics preferred.

  • Experience working with Life Sciences or Biopharma partners in a product management or translational research role preferred.

  • Skilled at engaging users, customers, and partners to distill feedback into clear, agile product requirements and roadmaps.
