PermitFlow is redefining how America builds. We’re an applied AI company serving the nation’s builders, tackling one of the largest information challenges in the economy: understanding what can be built, where, and how. Our AI agent workforce helps the fastest-growing construction companies navigate everything from permitting and licensing to inspections and project closeouts – accelerating housing, clean-energy, and infrastructure development across the country.

Despite being a $1.6T industry, construction still suffers from massive delays, wasted capital, and lost opportunity. PermitFlow has already delivered unprecedented speed, accuracy, and visibility to over $20B in development, helping contractors reduce compliance time, de-risk projects, and scale with confidence.

As the U.S. enters a new capex supercycle across data centers, factories, housing, and renewables, joining PermitFlow means building the AI infrastructure at the core of every construction project driving the next wave of reindustrialization.

We’ve raised over $90M, most recently completing our Series B, from top-tier investors including Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Initialized, Y Combinator, Felicis, and Altos Ventures, with backing from leaders at OpenAI, Google, Procore, ServiceTitan, Zillow, PlanGrid, and Uber.

Why PermitFlow Wants You

This role is foundational. We are standing up a dedicated Account Management function so that every signed enterprise customer has one clear commercial owner. You'll own the commercial relationship for a portfolio of the largest builders, contractors, developers, and multi-brand home-services platforms in the country — protecting renewals, closing expansion, and turning signed agreements into compounding partnerships. Every one of those accounts gets a single, named commercial owner for the life of the relationship. That's you.

You carry a quota and own the number: renewals, upsell, cross-sell, new-product and business-unit expansion. Implementation owns onboarding and go-live, Ops owns the day-to-day operating cadence, and Customer Success owns account health and adoption. You own everything commercial from the moment an account clears its opt-out window, and you convert delivered value into retained and expanded revenue.

What You'll Do
  • Own the commercial relationship and a $6M+ enterprise book of business from the moment each account becomes a PermitFlow customer.

  • Lead every renewal end to end — strategy, pricing, negotiation, procurement, legal, close

  • Build and close expansion pipeline across products, business units, geographies, brands, and volume tiers

  • Develop multi-year account plans, stakeholder maps, whitespace maps, and mutual commercial plans

  • Build trusted relationships from decision makers at both the regional an national level, including the C-suite and private-equity sponsors

  • Translate operational outcomes — time-to-permit, throughput, cost, and risk reduction — into executive-grade ROI narratives

  • Own renewal and expansion forecasting, CRM hygiene, next steps, and close plans

  • Partner tightly with Implementation, Ops, and Customer Success on onboarding, operating cadence, health, adoption, and risk signals while holding a clean commercial swim-lane

  • Help build the Account Management playbook — handoffs, tiering, cadences, forecasting, account-planning standards

  • ~20% Travel as needed for customer meetings, executive reviews, industry events (e.g. Pantheon), and portfolio-company HQ visits

Who You Are
  • Enterprise Commercial Leader: 8+ years in enterprise Account Management, expansion sales, or a comparable quota-carrying post-sale role

  • Self Starter: You’ve seen this show before and can help build the foundation of what this will look like as we continue to scale

  • Proven Revenue Owner: You have personally managed a $5M+ book and can show GRR, NRR, renewal, and expansion numbers

  • Complex Deal Operator: Comfortable with $200K+ ACV accounts, multi-threaded negotiations, procurement, security and legal reviews, and multi-entity rollouts

  • Seller, Not Just a Steward: You source, qualify, price, negotiate, and close expansion yourself — you don't hand it to Sales

  • Executive Relationship Builder: You're just as credible sitting across from a CFO as you are talking with a branch manager at a job site - warm, direct, curious, and plainspoken no matter who's in the room

  • Strategic and Analytical: You connect usage and outcomes to financial impact, risk, pricing, and a multi-year growth thesis

  • Forecast-Disciplined: Clear stages, close plans, renewal timelines, accurate commits

  • Cross-Functional Partner: You create clarity and momentum across Sales, CS, Product, Solutions, Support, Legal, Finance, and RevOps

  • Industry Knowledge: Construction-tech, PropTech, field-service software, home services, or another operationally complex vertical strongly preferred

How Success Will Be Measured
  • Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and Gross Revenue Retention (GRR)

  • Expansion ARR closed, and expansion pipeline coverage, win rate, and velocity

  • Renewal rate and renewal/expansion forecast accuracy

  • Account, brand, geography, and product penetration

  • Quality of executive relationships, account plans, and cross-functional execution

  • Contribution to a repeatable Account Management operating model

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary, uncapped commission, and meaningful equity in a high-growth company

  • 100% company-paid base medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees + healthcare FSA

  • 401(k) savings plan

  • Unlimited PTO and paid family leave

  • Home office & equipment stipend

  • Daily in-office lunch and dinner provided

  • Commuter benefits (pre-tax transit and parking)
