About the role

We are seeking an ETF Capital Markets Associate with at least 2-3 years of industry experience to join our growing team. This role will support ETF issuers and asset managers across trading, liquidity management, market structure, operational workflows, and fund governance initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as a key client-facing resource, partnering with issuers, market makers, broker-dealers, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and capital markets expertise.


What you’ll do

  • Serve as a day-to-day Capital Markets contact for clients and partners, addressing questions related to ETF trading, liquidity, operations, and market structure.
  • Collaborate with Tidal clients, issuers, broker-dealers, market makers, and service providers to deliver exceptional client support in person, email and Bloomberg.
  • Assess, modify and suggest revisions to client portfolios for position liquidity, viability and tax treatment considerations
  • Work with the street on locating capital for Custom In-kind Basket trades, Option collateral, and Swap capacity
  • Support fund governance activities for multiple 1940 Act ETF trusts, including board meetings, governance materials, partner updates, and related compliance requirements.
  • Prepare presentations and materials for board meetings, client engagements, business development initiatives, and prospect meetings.
  • Provide support and insights on ETF trading, capital markets, and operational processes across multiple asset classes for both domestic and international markets.
  • Coordinate and execute strategic projects and ad hoc initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Represent Tidal's Capital Markets team in client meetings, industry discussions, and partner conversations.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements and support internal adherence to firm standards.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in ETF capital markets, trading, operations, fund governance, or client service at an ETF issuer, broker-dealer, market maker, exchange, fund administrator, or related financial services firm. 
  • Strong understanding of ETF market structure, creation/redemption processes, trading mechanics, liquidity, and capital markets workflows. 
  • Experience interacting with authorized participants, market makers, broker-dealers, and other ETF ecosystem participants. 
  • Experience supporting board governance activities for a 1940 Act fund complex or ETF issuer is preferred. 
  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills. 
  • Ability to translate technical and operational concepts into clear, actionable communication for diverse audiences. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. 
  • Adaptable, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Preference will be given to candidates who are in NY.
