improveit 360 is looking for a Senior Account-Based Marketing Manager to own and scale our account-based marketing strategy for a focused market of high-value remodeling businesses.

This is not a campaign management role. We’re looking for an experienced ABM leader who can bring Marketing and Sales together around a shared target-account strategy, translate account intelligence into coordinated action, and build programs that create measurable account engagement, pipeline and revenue.

You’ll own the strategy and operating model across the full ABM lifecycle — from target account selection and tiering through buying committee engagement, intent, account-based advertising, Sales activation, Marketing Qualified Accounts (MQAs), pipeline progression and measurement.

Because improveit 360 serves a relatively small, high-value addressable market, success requires a thoughtful approach to where and how we invest. You’ll determine which accounts warrant 1:1 attention, where 1 programs can create leverage, and how broader account-based programs can efficiently engage the rest of our target market.

Most importantly, you’ll be a connector between Marketing and Sales. The right person will be comfortable bringing strong recommendations to Sales leadership, incorporating frontline feedback, creating shared accountability and continually evolving our approach based on what we learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Target Account Strategy
  • Own and continuously refine improveit 360’s Target Account List (TAL) in partnership with Sales leadership.
  • Develop and maintain the criteria used to identify, prioritize and tier high-value accounts.
  • Establish clear 1:1, 1 and 1 account strategies based on account potential, ICP fit, intent, engagement and strategic value.
  • Partner with Sales to ensure account ownership, prioritization and treatment remain aligned as the market and pipeline evolve.
  • Develop governance processes for adding, removing and reprioritizing target accounts.
  • Build Buying Committee + Account Intelligence
  • Define priority personas and buying committee roles within target accounts.
  • Partner with Marketing Ops, RevOps and data providers to improve contact coverage and account intelligence.
  • Identify gaps in buying committee penetration and develop strategies to reach additional stakeholders.
  • Use firmographic, behavioral, intent and engagement data to help Marketing and Sales understand where opportunities exist within target accounts.
  • Ensure Sales has actionable account and contact intelligence rather than simply more data.
  • Develop and Execute Account-Based Programs
  • Develop integrated ABM programs across 1:1, 1 and 1 motions.
  • Translate account tiers, buying committees and customer needs into differentiated engagement strategies.
  • Partner with Paid Media, Content, Product Marketing, Events and other channel owners to activate coordinated account-based experiences.
  • Identify content, messaging and personalization needs by account tier, buying committee, vertical and stage of the buying journey.
  • Work with Product Marketing and Content to prioritize and develop the assets required to support account plays.
  • Test new channels, tactics and personalization approaches and scale those that demonstrate meaningful account engagement and progression.
  • Identify opportunities for executive engagement, events, direct mail, digital advertising and other high-value experiences where appropriate.
  • Lead Sales + Marketing ABM Alignment
  • Serve as the primary Marketing partner to Sales leadership for the ABM motion.
  • Establish and lead recurring Sales + Marketing account reviews focused on priority accounts, engagement, intent signals, active plays and progression.
  • Translate Marketing activity and account intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations for AEs and SDRs.
  • Develop Sales plays and enablement tied to account tier, persona, engagement and buying signals.
  • Establish clear expectations for Marketing and Sales ownership throughout the account lifecycle.
  • Build feedback loops that allow Sales insights to continuously improve targeting, messaging, qualification and Marketing strategy.
  • Create shared accountability for target-account progression rather than treating ABM as a Marketing-only program.
  • Own the Marketing Qualified Account Funnel
  • Own the target-account funnel from target account → engaged account → Marketing Qualified Account (MQA) → Sales-accepted/actively worked account → opportunity → pipeline/revenue.
  • Establish and continuously refine the definition of an MQA in partnership with Sales and RevOps.
  • Determine which combinations of account fit, buying committee engagement, intent and Marketing activity indicate meaningful buying interest.
  • Ensure MQAs and other meaningful account signals are surfaced and routed to Sales with clear expectations for action.
  • Monitor MQA quality, Sales acceptance and downstream conversion to continuously improve qualification.
  • Identify where target accounts are stalling and develop strategies to increase progression.
  • Own ABM Technology + Intent Strategy
  • Own the business strategy and use cases for ZoomInfo MarketingOS and other ABM capabilities within the Marketing technology stack.
  • Define how intent, engagement, account intelligence and audience data should be used across Marketing and Sales.
  • Partner with Marketing Ops and RevOps on Salesforce integrations, workflows, reporting, data hygiene and account structures.
  • Partner with Paid Media to activate target-account audiences and measure account-level advertising impact.
  • Continually assess whether the existing ABM technology stack supports our strategy and recommend additional capabilities when there is a clear business need.
  • Ensure technology enables action rather than adding unnecessary complexity or dashboards.
  • Measure and Optimize ABM Performance
  • Establish the KPIs and reporting required to understand ABM performance across the full account funnel.
  • Measure target-account coverage, buying committee penetration, engagement, intent, MQAs, Sales acceptance, meetings, opportunities, pipeline and revenue.
  • Establish benchmarks and monitor conversion between account stages.
  • Partner with RevOps and Marketing Ops to improve attribution and account-level reporting.
  • Develop a clear performance narrative that explains what is working, where accounts are stalling and what should change.
  • Use performance data and qualitative Sales feedback to continually improve account selection, tiering, messaging and activation.
  • Build the Long-Term ABM Roadmap
  • Continuously assess improveit 360’s maturity across targeting, data, technology, activation, personalization, Sales alignment and measurement.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized ABM roadmap tied to business goals and market opportunity.
  • Distinguish between foundational requirements, opportunities to test and capabilities worth scaling.
  • Bring a strong external perspective on ABM best practices while adapting those practices to the realities of improveit 360’s market and Sales motion.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve the program as our data, technology and organizational capabilities mature.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • Significant experience building and/or leading B2B account-based marketing programs, ideally within SaaS or another complex B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience building ABM foundations, including TAL development, account tiering, buying committee strategy, intent, personalization and account-based measurement.
  • Strong understanding of 1:1, 1 and 1 ABM models and when each should be used.
  • Experience partnering directly with Sales leadership, AEs and SDRs to develop shared account strategies and coordinated plays.
  • Ability to build trust with Sales while also bringing a strong Marketing point of view and challenging assumptions when needed.
  • Experience working with ABM and intent platforms such as ZoomInfo MarketingOS, 6sense, Demandbase, Propensity or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce and how account, contact, opportunity and engagement data support an ABM motion.
  • Experience partnering with Marketing Ops and RevOps on data, integrations, routing, reporting and measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort translating account-level data into clear decisions and actions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Paid Media, Product Marketing, Content, Events and other Marketing teams.
  • Ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution — building the framework while also getting programs into market.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A practical mindset: able to build scalable processes without overengineering them.
