Phaselaw is rebuilding the legacy eDiscovery industry from the ground up, empowering in-house legal teams with tools for document production that bypass the existing services-heavy approach. We're Seed stage but are growing over 20% each month and are working with Fortune 200 companies and some of the largest law firms in the world.

The Role

We’re looking for a Founding Marketer to help scale our GTM motion. You'll work closely with our Founders and Sales team to lead marketing efforts across the business — from events to inbound. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you’ll directly shape the future of Phaselaw’s brand and go-to-market.

  • Get onboarded, meet everyone on our team.

  • Attend sales demos and customer calls to learn how we pitch

  • Dive into our lead metrics.

First Month

  • Review and adjust our ad campaigns

  • Take over our content calendar

  • Help lead event planning

By 90 Days

  • Develop a quarterly marketing plan.

  • Build metrics and attribution for our marketing efforts.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in in-house marketing, ideally with startups or fast-moving teams.

  • Experience with SEO, SEM, and inbound-led lead generation

  • Experience with conferences and other events

  • Excitement about tackling work hands-on rather than relying on agencies

  • Excellent writing skills

  • A bias for action: You ship fast and iterate based on feedback.

  • Extreme ownership: You're excited to make a mark and you make sure balls don't get dropped.

  • Bonus: Experience in the privacy or legal space

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: Your work will directly shape the future of the company.

  • Growth: High ownership, deep collaboration with company and leadership.

  • Speed: We move fast, ship often, and value autonomy.

  • Culture: Our team is kind, collaborative, inquisitive, and inclusive – and we want to keep it that way. We have high standards for quality and ethics, and help each other learn in order to reach our objectives. We think technology is best built by teams with a diversity of background, thought, and experience.

Location

This role is in-person (with a hybrid schedule) in New York. We'll also consider candidates in the UK.

Compensation

New York: $150-200k
UK: £75k-100k
plus generous equity and benefits

👒 Every team member is a human first, and we strive to create a culture and environment that supports your career goals and respects all of the hats you wear in life, not just the ones that earn you a paycheck.

Our Team

We were founded in 2023 by SaaS and data experts: Josh (CEO) lead Chartbeat as CTO to $70M+ ARR and exit; David (CTO) lead Cortico (MIT spinoff) from 0->1 as COO.
