About Cara

Cara is a domain-specific AI platform purpose-built for insurance—a modular system that enables agencies, brokerages, and wholesalers to automate servicing, accelerate sales, and scale operations with a 24/7 digital workforce.

We’re one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the insurance industry, attracting agencies and brokerages of all sizes with an expanding customer base. We’re a team of experts in engineering and insurance from Stripe, Blend, Strategy&, and Travelers, backed by top-tier VCs, and are scaling our product and team quickly to meet market demand.

About the Role

As Founding Marketing at Cara, you’ll build and own the entire marketing function from the ground up. You’ll define how we position, communicate, and scale Cara’s domain-specific AI platform across insurance agencies, brokerages, and wholesalers.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Growth. You’ll shape our narrative, drive pipeline through events and content, enable our sales team to win enterprise deals, and establish Cara as the category-defining AI platform in insurance.

You’ll work directly with the founders to define strategy and execute across every area of marketing—product marketing, content, events, brand, and sales enablement—while building the foundation for a world-class marketing organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Own Marketing End-to-End: Lead and execute across all areas of marketing, including product marketing, content, events, brand, and sales enablement.

  • Product Marketing & Launches: Lead go-to-market strategy for new features and products—from internal enablement to customer-facing rollout—ensuring strong adoption and clear value articulation.

  • Sales Enablement: Equip the GTM team with high-impact assets and enterprise deal support materials.

  • Content & Thought Leadership: Build and scale content across channels to drive awareness, credibility, and inbound demand.

  • Events & Field Marketing: Own strategy and execution for industry conferences, hosted dinners, webinars, and field events—driving pipeline and strengthening Cara’s presence across the insurance ecosystem.

  • Customer & Market Insight: Conduct customer interviews, synthesize feedback, and translate insights into sharper messaging and product input.

What You Have
  • 2+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Strategy, or a related GTM role in B2B SaaS, AI, fintech, or insurtech.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a generalist across multiple marketing disciplines.

  • Strong ability to translate technical or AI-powered products into clear business value for executive and operational audiences.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Sales teams in a fast-moving environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial mindset—thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with significant ownership.

  • Bonus: Experience marketing to insurance agencies, brokerages, or financial services organizations.
