About the company
Our client is a financial services firm.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take on a founding operations role that owns every non-investment function, covering vendors, contracts, compliance, budgets and people matters, while coordinating workstreams hands-on and automating routine processes.
What you'll do
- Resolve operational issues end to end so they never reach the investment team.
- Oversee counterparties, service providers, vendors and contracts, including negotiating terms.
- Manage investor onboarding, due diligence paperwork and reporting.
- Run compliance workflows, budgeting, insurance, office matters and people operations.
- Automate routine operational processes with AI tools, working alongside technical colleagues.
- Bring in-house some functions currently handled by external providers.
- Lead a small external sales team and support pitches to large institutional prospects.
- Act as the central coordinator across workstreams, keeping them on schedule.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Roughly 2 to 4 years in management consulting, investment banking or private equity, plus 2 or more years in strategy, operations or business operations at a startup.
- Hands-on experience running routine operations across several areas at an early-stage company, such as vendors, budgets, staffing and compliance.
- A history of designing and rolling out complete processes from start to finish.
- Experience as the primary contact for senior external stakeholders, running calls and communications directly.
- Very fluent with current AI tools.
- Comfortable working in person at the New York office five days a week.
Bonus points
- Experience in financial services or at an investment firm, including direct investing or investment firm operations.
- Experience building personal AI workflows or automations with agents or no-code tools.
- Prior involvement in elite sport or another demanding competitive pursuit.
