About the company
Our client is a fast-growing financial technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join a very small engineering group as an early hire, working mostly on server-side code with some user-interface work. You will partner closely with technical leadership, influence how systems are designed and carry projects from concept to release with substantial independence.
What you'll do
- Deliver new product capabilities from concept to release, focusing mainly on server-side services and data flows, with occasional user-interface work.
- Help broaden the product offering by bringing a new line out of its trial phase and connecting additional products to the existing platform.
- Guide technical decisions on deployment, reliability, capacity and the long-range shape of the system.
- Create internal tools that let non-engineering colleagues solve problems themselves and cut down on requests to the engineering team.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools to work quickly across the whole stack.

- Self-directed, proactive and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Regular hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools.
- Experience with products sold through intermediaries to end users.
- Knowledge of financial services or insurance, or a genuine interest in the space.
