TL;DR

Deepline is hiring a Founding Design Engineer to give a new category of software its product language.

Why Deepline

Deepline is the agent-first platform for teams to build bespoke GTM software.

Agents are making it possible for anyone to build custom software around how a company sells. But turning a good idea into a production system still requires a fragmented stack of data providers, internal and external data, APIs, permissions, integrations, monitoring, and operational infrastructure.

Deepline makes that layer practical. We give power users and agents the primitives to build and run the exact systems their company needs.

We're already used by thousands of power users at several T1 companies and have grown extremely quickly since we launched in the last six months. We are a lean, deeply technical team moving quickly to build the infrastructure for agent-built software.

Software has never been built solely for agents. Come help shape what that looks like.

The role

You will own the experience layer for Deepline. That means setting the visual language, designing the product surfaces that make complex systems understandable, and writing production code to make the work real. This is a role for someone who sees design and engineering as one discipline, has an incredibly high bar for craft, and has a vision for how fast teams in 2026 can build polished experiences.

What you’ll own

• Deepline’s visual identity and web presence: typography, motion, layout, and how the company presents itself to the world.
• Product UX for building and understanding GTM systems: workflows, provider configuration, usage, cost, and team management.
• A design system and component library that scale with the product.
• The moments that decide whether a product feels useful: onboarding, empty states, errors, loading, CLI output, and interactive tutorials.
• Product launches, demos, changelogs, and visual storytelling that show what customers can build.
• Contribute occasionally to the marketing site and logged-out experiences.

Who we’re looking for

• You are strong in React or Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and modern component architecture.
• You have real taste in typography, spacing, color, interaction, and motion, and can carry that taste through implementation.
• You think in systems, not just screens, and know how to make a component library durable and agent-native.
• You have experience working in fast-moving teams.
• You care about the details people notice only when they are wrong.
• You have a portfolio or project that shows high-craft work.

Why build with us

• Shape an entirely new category of software, with a real role in defining both the product and the company.
• Work in person in New York with experienced founders and a deeply technical, talent-dense team.
• Build at the frontier of AI, on problems that change how products are created, shipped, and brought to market.
• Work somewhere truth-seeking and creatively opinionated: we question inherited assumptions and choose fast learning over false certainty.
• Competitive salary and meaningful equity.

Early teams compound. We are looking for people who raise the ambition, clarity, and quality of the work around them.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $140,000 – $260,000 per year.
