About the company

Our client is a financial technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the browser-based experience for a fast-moving, data-heavy consumer application. Partner with design and backend colleagues to release improvements often, focusing on speed, polish and dependable behavior.

What you'll do

- Create and maintain rich web applications along with shared interface components that stay quick, accessible and easy to scale.

- Produce responsive, interactive charting and live data displays that help people make timely choices.

- Tune load speed and reliability through smart caching, targeting very fast page loads.

- Connect the interface to backend services over request-based and streaming APIs, and manage cached state in the browser.

- Maintain automated delivery pipelines covering builds, preview environments, tests and quick reversions.

- Work side by side with designers and backend engineers to iterate continuously on the product.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Solid front-end engineering depth with React, TypeScript and JavaScript.

- Hands-on personal trading in crypto, derivatives or other markets, or past front-end work at a trading firm or exchange.

- Commercial background delivering interfaces where low latency and live updates are critical, for example in trading, gaming or casino products.

- Strong command of CSS and browser animation APIs.

- Visible, deployed front-end projects that show strong visual craft, such as a live product, portfolio site or demos.

- A GitHub profile with recent, genuine coding activity.

- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship (TN visas are the sole exception) and willingness to work on-site in New York.

Bonus points

- A history as a front-end developer within a trading business or trading product rather than a general consumer app.

- Familiarity wiring interfaces to request-response and streaming data sources.

- A degree is not required; bootcamp or self-taught backgrounds are welcome alongside a strong personal project history.
