As a Python Full Stack Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management division, you will be part of an agile AI team responsible for building and delivering end-to-end generative AI solutions. You will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of innovative AI-driven applications, working across both backend (Python) and frontend (React) technologies, and leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art AI technologies while developing your skills in a collaborative and inclusive environment.


Job Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of generative AI solutions, working across backend (Python) and frontend (React) components.
  • Write secure, high-quality, and maintainable code for AI-driven applications with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain code for web applications, ensuring seamless integration between backend and frontend.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with team members to deliver robust solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and contribute to best practices for secure and stable application development.
  • Gain exposure to cloud technologies (AWS) and support the deployment of AI solutions in cloud environments.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify issues and support decision-making for AI solution development.
  • Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code using Python and database querying languages.
  • Demonstrable ability to code in Python for backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with React.js for frontend development.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS (EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda).
  • Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
 
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Familiarity with LLMs and exposure to AI/ML concepts.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integration of backend and frontend components.
  • Understanding of Asset and Wealth management business processes.
