The Growth Marketing Manager will identify ambiguous growth opportunities, design and run experiments, analyze performance, and scale efficient acquisition channels. Responsibilities include developing customer insights and creative concepts, building business cases and success metrics, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, launching new channels, and making scale-or-stop decisions. The role requires independent execution in a startup environment, strong communication, project management, analytical judgment, and effective use of AI and automation tools.

Want to help everyday Americans invest and build wealth? Financial inequality is increasing, and too many people are getting left behind. At Stash, we're passionate about democratizing wealth creation through education, advice, and products that help customers achieve greater financial freedom. We also believe in working smarter—leveraging AI and emerging technologies to move faster, operate more efficiently, and focus our time on solving meaningful problems for our customers.

We're looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to identify, launch, and prove out new growth channels for Stash. You'll be part of our growing Growth team and report to the Sr. Director of Acquisition. You'll initially help lead our test of influencer as an acquisition channel, but your remit will be broader: turning opportunities across channels like influencer, podcasts and TV, direct mail, and emerging platforms into rigorous, measurable growth programs.

This is a role with real scope and huge impact. You'll take ideas from a blank page to an in-market test—building the strategy, economics, measurement plan, creative approach, and operating model needed to determine whether a channel can scale. You'll also take on high-leverage growth and conversion projects across offers, landing pages, and referral or rescue programs.

We're looking for a creative and analytical operator who moves quickly, acts independently, and brings structure to ambiguity. You should be equally comfortable developing a sharp creative hypothesis, building a channel test plan, managing a complex cross-functional launch, and using performance data to decide what happens next.

What you'll do:

Build and test new growth channels

  • Identify and evaluate new acquisition opportunities based on audience fit, potential scale, unit economics, operational complexity, and measurement readiness
  • Turn promising ideas into cohesive test plans with clear hypotheses, budgets, audiences, creative needs, success metrics, and scale or stop criteria
  • Own tests from strategy through launch, measurement, iteration, and recommendation
  • Build the playbook, processes, and partner model required to turn successful tests into repeatable growth programs

Lead an initial influencer channel test

  • Develop and execute Stash's initial performance-oriented influencer channel test
  • Define the right creator profiles, partnership model, briefs, content formats, usage rights, amplification plan, and measurement approach
  • Work with creators, agencies, and internal partners to keep production and launches moving quickly
  • Use early results to determine what to scale, change, or stop—and what capabilities Stash would need to build next

Connect creative, conversion, and channel strategy

  • Develop channel-specific creative hypotheses and ideate the concepts, messages, formats, and offers most likely to work
  • Write clear briefs and partner with Brand, Creative, and external resources to produce effective assets
  • Ensure strong message match across creative, landing pages, offers, and the signup experience
  • Lead high-leverage growth and conversion projects across landing pages, experimentation, offers, referral, and rescue when these are the biggest constraint on performance

Analyze and iterate

  • Define measurement plans before launch and ensure tracking is sufficient to make a clear decision
  • Analyze performance across CAC, payback, customer quality, conversion, and new customer acquisition
  • Translate results into clear insights, next-step hypotheses, and recommendations for investment
  • Communicate what we learned—including unsuccessful tests—so the broader Growth and Marketing teams can move faster

Drive execution across teams

  • Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and decision points
  • Partner closely with Growth, Creative, Brand, Product, Data, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to move work from idea to market
  • Proactively identify blockers, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and keep multiple workstreams moving without waiting for perfect clarity
  • Create simple, durable processes that make future tests faster and easier to run

What we're looking for:

Your success will be measured by your ability to turn ambiguous growth opportunities into well-designed tests, generate clear learning quickly, and build a path to efficient scale. You understand that proving a new channel requires more than launching a campaign: it takes a strong customer insight, compelling creative, sound economics, reliable measurement, and disciplined execution.

  • 3-5 years of experience in growth, growth marketing, or a similarly cross-functional role
  • Experience at a startup or in an equivalent zero-to-one environment where you had to act independently, move quickly, and build without an established playbook
  • A track record of taking a new channel, program, or growth initiative from idea through launch and iteration
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex cross-functional work and keep multiple initiatives moving at once
  • A strong analytical foundation—comfortable building a business case, defining success metrics, interpreting performance data, and making scale or stop decisions
  • Strong creative instincts—able to develop customer insights, campaign concepts, content hypotheses, and clear creative briefs
  • Bias for action and ownership; you move quickly, make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information, and do not need close direction to make progress
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous problems and align a wide range of partners
  • Comfort using AI tools and automation to accelerate research, analysis, ideation, and execution

Gold Stars

  • Experience launching or scaling influencer or creator-led acquisition
  • Experience testing offline or emerging channels such as podcasts, TV, direct mail, or new digital platforms
  • Experience in fintech, consumer finance, healthcare, subscriptions, or another long-funnel consumer business
  • Hands-on experience with landing-page testing, experimentation platforms, referral programs, or lifecycle winback programs
  • Experience operating in a regulated environment and partnering closely with Legal or Compliance
