About Shelf

We're building AI that is changing the world. The workforce of the future is going to be multi-dimensional, multi-faceted, conductors of both people and artificial intelligence. We're looking for someone who can do that.

Shelf is the OS for agentic AI: a platform that models your policies, workflows, and operational logic into an AI Data Model so that AI agents don’t just respond, they reason. The result? AI that understands how your business actually runs and delivers precise, compliant, auditable outcomes at scale.

Brands like Amazon, Nespresso, HelloFresh, and KeyBank use Shelf to power their AI agents that automate workflows, improve efficiency, and turn long processes into automated work. We're partnered with Microsoft, Salesforce, OpenAI, Snowflake, and Databricks — and recognized by Gartner (Cool Vendor) and IDC (Innovator) for our approach.

About the Role

Let's cut to the chase. This is a really hard job.

We're looking for a "stem cell" operator. A highly caliper generalist who can help drive efficiency across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Rev Ops. If you want a role with a narrowly defined scope and predictable workstreams, this probably isn't it.

This is a true Swiss Army knife position. You must possess the versatility to pivot instantly from building complex Salesforce dashboards to optimizing marketing attribution, or launching high-impact, AI-powered automations.

This is a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. Priorities change quickly. You'll be expected to think critically, solve problems independently, and execute with urgency. The right person thrives in ambiguity, loves figuring things out, and gets energized by building.

This is a builder role, not a maintenance role.

You'll help design and optimize the systems, reporting, processes, and growth infrastructure that power Shelf's go-to-market engine.

 What You'll Do1. Special Projects & High-Impact Initiatives
  • Serve as the internal "SWAT team" for Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Executive leadership on time-sensitive, high-stakes initiatives
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis
  • Own special projects from concept through execution
  • Turn ambiguous ideas into measurable outcomes
2. Sales Ops & Analytics
  • Build and maintain reporting across Salesforce, HockeyStack, HubSpot, and other GTM systems
  • Create dashboards that track pipeline, conversion rates, funnel performance, and revenue metrics
  • Analyze GTM performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Improve forecasting accuracy and reporting consistency
  • Support territory planning, account segmentation, and pipeline analysis
3. Marketing Ops
  • Support campaign execution across paid, outbound, ABM, content, and events
  • Manage attribution, lead routing, scoring, and lifecycle tracking
  • Build target account lists and audience segments
  • Analyze campaign performance and recommend optimizations
  • Work closely with marketing leadership to improve conversion throughout the funnel
4. Systems, Automation & AI
  • Design workflows and automations that eliminate manual work
  • Use AI tools to improve productivity across GTM teams
  • Maintain and optimize Salesforce and other core GTM systems
  • Partner with engineering, product, and leadership on operational initiatives
  • Evaluate and implement new tools that create meaningful leverage

What We're Looking ForExperience
  • 4–6 years of experience in Consulting, Banking, Growth Operations, Revenue Operations, Data Analytics, or related fields
  • Experience working in high-growth SaaS, AI, or tech companies
  • Proven track record of using data to drive business outcomes
  • Experience supporting revenue-generating teams
  • Startup experience is a plus
Skills
  • Highly analytical
  • Strong project manager
  • Naturally curious and resourceful
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Comfortable working across multiple functions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to balance strategy and execution
Hard Skills
  • Advanced Salesforce proficiency
  • Strong understanding of funnel metrics and pipeline analytics
  • Experience with marketing attribution and reporting
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, HockeyStack, HubSpot, GA4, Clay, ZoomInfo, Pardot, or similar platforms
  • Comfortable working in spreadsheets and analyzing large datasets
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and workflow tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, or Zapier
Mindset
  • Even Keeled — won't get flustered easily and can work in stressful environments.
  • Builder — thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
  • First Principles Thinker — designs for scale and efficiency, not short-term fixes.
  • Operator — strong ownership and accountability.
  • Be an optimist.
Compensation
  • $130,000–$150,000 base salary
  • Meaningful equity grant
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits
  • Open PTO
 Why This Role Matters

At Shelf, growth is a company-wide responsibility.
