About Chamber:

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in America. At Chamber, we're rebuilding the system for cardiology, creating a world where outcomes, not volume, define success. We partner with independent cardiologists to help them lead population health efforts in their communities, equipping them with technology, data, and operational tools that turn complex insights into better care for patients.

Our model blends clinical expertise, thoughtful design, and a modern operating platform that supports physicians, patients, and payers alike. We believe innovation and empathy go hand in hand, and by combining cutting-edge AI tools with a relentless focus on human care, we can transform heart health at scale.

Role Overview

Chamber is hiring its first Head of Compliance to build the compliance function that will support our next stage of growth. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will design, operationalize, and lead a practical compliance program spanning regulatory and corporate compliance, clinical compliance, government programs, and IT/security oversight.

This role is critical now as Chamber expands into new markets, launches new lines of business, scales operations, and deepens its work across payer partnerships, and AI-enabled clinical workflows. You will be the strategic voice and subject-matter expert helping teams move quickly while building the compliance infrastructure needed to scale safely.

This will start as a high-leverage, strategic individual contributor role, with the opportunity and authority to scale the function as the business grows. The right person brings strong judgment, low ego, and the ability to translate complex regulations into practical systems that help teams move faster and safer.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Corporate Compliance

  • Own compliance strategy and risk assessment for the business, including entity structure, state-by-state licensure, and corporate practice of medicine (CPOM) requirements as we expand.

  • Build out our government programs compliance capability, including Medicare marketing and member communication requirements.

  • Own the compliance governance cadence, including Compliance Committee preparation, leadership reporting, risk themes, action tracking, and escalation of emerging issues.

  • Own privacy and HIPAA compliance operations, including policy maintenance, incident response, investigations, training, and partnership with Legal and Security on data protection requirements.

Clinical Compliance

  • Partner closely with our Clinical team to centralize and standardize compliance around care management and clinical program designs, including SOPs and documentation.

  • Partner with clinical, product, operations, data, and payer-facing teams to embed compliance into new workflows, programs, technology, AI-enabled tools, and market expansion plans.

  • Support credentialing oversight in partnership with Clinical leadership.

IT & Security Compliance

  • Partner with our Security lead — who owns this track — to maintain training programs, SOC2, HITRUST, and related certifications, providing compliance oversight and support along the way.

Internal Audit

  • Build and run an internal audit function: establish a cadence for policy review, verify SOPs are in place across every workstream, and monitor risk on an ongoing basis.

  • Establish clear processes for compliance intake, investigations, root-cause analysis, remediation tracking, and resolution of concerns, incidents, and complaints.

What You'll Achieve in Your First 90 Days

  • Step into the designated compliance lead role supporting our direct contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and clarify ownership, escalation paths, and immediate priorities.

  • Create a centralized GDMT compliance framework with clear SOPs, documentation standards, and operating rhythms.

  • Launch a practical internal audit process, including a policy and procedure review cadence tied to key risk areas.

  • Deliver a leadership-ready risk assessment with recommended priorities across regulatory, clinical, and government programs compliance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of healthcare compliance leadership, with experience in value-based care, managed care, population health, or another payer-facing care model.

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA/privacy, CPOM, fee splitting, licensing, credentialing, AKS/FWA, False Claims Act, and Medicare/Medicaid requirements.

  • Hands-on experience with government programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, ACOs, and related CMS requirements.

  • Proven ability to build practical compliance programs, including policies, training, monitoring, audits, and risk-based controls.

  • Comfortable operating in early-stage, multi-state environments where priorities evolve, and processes need to be built from scratch.

  • Strong judgment and cross-functional leadership, with the ability to partner across legal, clinical, security, and business teams.

Chamber Values

Our values guide how we lead, collaborate, and care:

  • Low Ego: We stay grounded, curious, and open to feedback.

  • Empathy: We build trust through compassion and thoughtful communication.

  • Courage: We act, think critically, and challenge ideas respectfully.

  • Ownership: We follow through with integrity and hold ourselves to high standards.

  • Grit: We push through ambiguity, move with urgency, and solve problems with horsepower and heart.

Location

Remote, US-based. Preference for Eastern Time zone or the ability to work ET hours. Periodic travel to practice sites or Chamber offices may be required.
