You are a senior experience design leader responsible for building, leading, and evolving a high-performing global XD practice within a consultancy environment, balancing creative excellence with business accountability.
You partner closely with sales and executive leadership to drive growth through new business (pitches, proposals) and expansion within existing client relationships, while positioning experience design as a key driver of transformation. You set direction, enable multidisciplinary teams, and ensure delivery excellence, while continuously advancing team capabilities, scaling operations, and evolving the practice to meet changing client needs and market opportunities.
What You’ll Do
Roles + Responsibilities
· Lead the vision, strategy, and evolution of the Experience Design (XD) practice across the organization, aligning design excellence with business growth, client impact, and market differentiation
· Manage and scale a global, multidisciplinary team of designers, strategists, researchers, and content specialists across onshore and offshore locations — fostering a unified culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration
· Partner with sales and executive leadership to drive new business growth, shaping go-to-market strategies, leading pitches, crafting proposals, and developing compelling narratives that convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships
· Own and drive a “land and expand” client strategy, nurturing executive relationships, identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts, and expanding the footprint of XD services across engagements
· Champion innovation and thought leadership, defining and advancing new service offerings, publishing perspectives, and positioning the organization as a leader in experience design, AI-enabled design, and digital transformation
· Build and evolve team capabilities, identifying skill gaps, hiring strategically, and investing in continuous learning to ensure the team remains ahead of industry trends and client needs
· Balance long-term vision with short-term execution, ensuring delivery excellence while continuously evolving the practice for future growth
What You’ll Bring
Capabilities
· Proven experience leading large, global, multidisciplinary design teams within complex organizations
· Strong track record of driving revenue growth through partnership with sales, including leading pitches, proposals, and strategic pursuits
· Ability to connect design strategy to business outcomes, articulating value to executive stakeholders, with expertise in executive presentations and narrative storytelling
· Experience developing new offerings, accelerators, and thought leadership that drive market differentiation
· Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across disciplines, geographies, and seniority levels
· Proven ability to hire, grow, and evolve teams, balancing craft excellence with scalable delivery
· Comfort working with little process in place, actively looking for ways to solve problems proactively — leading teams through ambiguity and organizational shifts
· A strong point of view, an open mind, and the drive to inspire company leadership, as well as your team
Tools + Skillsets
· Extensive experience in digital design within a digital agency or studio environment, including a strong portfolio of work samples, and expertise marketing, product design, and strategy
Familiarity with enterprise ecosystems, including digital transformation, AI, and platform-based solutions
· Experience managing a global team of creative professionals
Strong affinity for AI tools and workflows, with a point of view on how AI can responsibly accelerate creative ideation, production, and quality.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Microsoft 365
