About Us

Gallery Media Group (GMG) is a modern media company that connects brands with audiences through compelling content, social storytelling, and cultural experiences. Our portfolio includes PureWow, Coveteur, and @cocktails, alongside original programming, experiential activations, and branded content partnerships.

We're focused on creating content that audiences actively seek out, engage with, and share—building our brands across social, vodcasts, and real-world experiences.

About the Role

Gallery Media Group is seeking a visionary, hands-on Head of Video / Creative Director to lead the creative strategy, programming, and development of our growing video ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of creative direction,  production  and audience development. You'll oversee the creative architecture of branded social and longform videos, the launch of new original social shows (e.g., vodcasts and scripted shows), and our experiential content programming (E4C), ensuring that every concept is designed to engage audiences, scale efficiently, and perform across social platforms.

You'll be responsible for translating big creative ideas into recognizable, and high-performing formats with the knowledge of how to bring them to life, from concept execution. From developing new shows and programming calendars to defining the direction, storytelling approaches and audience growth strategies you'll establish the creative vision that guides our video output.

You’ll also be a key collaborator with sales, brand strategy and external partners to deliver campaigns and bring ideas to life with video.

We're looking for someone who thinks like a creative leader, operates like a showrunner, and understands how content succeeds in today's rapidly evolving social media landscape.

What You'll Do

Video Creative Strategy & Programming

  • Lead creative vision and programming for GMG's branded video content, vodcasts, and E4C.
  • Conceptualize original video formats to grow brand, viewership and audience loyalty for Purewow, Coveteur and @cocktails.
  • Establish distinctive visual identities and storytelling structures
  • Oversee E4C creative development, including event concepts (E4C), series, and content extensions.
  • Balance creative quality with production feasibility, brand goals, client expectations and commercial potential.
  • Manage episode calendars and content roadmaps across brands and platforms.

Vodcast Development

  • Direct concept development, titles, packaging, visual treatments, and storytelling structures.
  • Build repeatable, templatized formats for efficient cross-brand and cross-platform adaptation.
  • Partner with editorial teams to define creative standards and production playbooks.
  • Track emerging social formats, platform behaviors, trends, and audience preferences.
  • Analyze performance metrics—views, retention, watch time, engagement, and sharing—to guide creative strategy.
  • Test and refine current formats while building new concepts driven by audience insights.

Production & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build and lead a multidisciplinary creative production team, setting the vision, standards, and workflows that drive compelling storytelling and execution.
  • Collaborate across editorial and social teams to translate video concepts into execution.
  • Guide creative direction through pre-production, production, and post-production.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to create sponsored content that fits GMG's ecosystem and satisfies brand goals without sacrificing quality.
  • Build efficient workflows for scalable production and present creative concepts and learnings to stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in video creative direction, digital content, social programming, or entertainment.
  • Proven track record developing and launching original video series, social franchises, or digital programming.
  • Strong knowledge of content performance on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and key video platforms.
  • Exceptional instincts for storytelling, hooks, pacing, formatting, and content packaging.
  • Experience directing or overseeing video podcasts, episodic social series, or experiential content.
  • Ability to translate analytics and audience insights into creative strategy.
  • Strong leadership skills in guiding creative and production teams.
  • Adept at managing competing priorities to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset focused on efficiency, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience building recurring, recognizable social content franchises with measurable audience growth.
  • Background in both editorial and sponsored content production.
  • Experience developing content around live events, talent, personalities, or cultural programming.
  • Familiarity with production budgeting, resource allocation, and scalable video workflows.
What Success Looks Like
  • A clearly defined video programming strategy with consistent release schedules across GMG's content portfolio.
  • A growing portfolio of recognizable social shows that build repeat audiences.
  • Measurable improvements in video views, audience retention, engagement, and overall content performance across organic and branded content.
  • Efficient, repeatable production formats that scale without sacrificing creative quality.
  • A strong pipeline of new programming concepts with the potential to attract audiences and brand sponsors.
  • A creative team operating with clear direction, accountability, and a culture of experimentation.

Unsure if you meet the qualifications? We are always looking for talent which will continue to cultivate an inclusive and representative team that will enhance our perspectives, skill sets, background, and behaviors.  We encourage those who are passionate about what we do to apply!

  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

  • Medical, Dental, and vision coverage
