Qualifications
The Role & Responsibilities:  
As a Hospitality Associate, you will have the responsibility of delivering excellent 5-star hospitality in line with our Chelsea Piers Standards of Excellence and our High Five Approach – creating moments of genuine connection, recognition, and warmth in every interaction.

  • Welcoming every member, prospective member and guest like a regular – using names when possible and creating a warm first and last impression 
  • Mastering our member systems to ensure smooth check-ins, class arrivals, and guest experiences 
  • Answering phones and member questions with energy, empathy and ownership – ensuring every interaction feels personal and helpful 
  • Supporting shift-specific needs like front desk, concierge, marketing, or street team activations 
  • Keeping an eye on everything – facilities, locker rooms, events, and personal training sessions – and submitting tickets through appropriate systems 
  • Monitoring guest awareness and maintaining security awareness 
  • Problem solving like a pro – you’ll be trained to resolve issues and know when to escalate 
  • Collaborating with every department, from sales to operations, because hospitality – and recognizing great work – touches everything

  • Flexible with your schedule – availability on nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 6+ months experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness 
  • Knowledge of gym operations, group fitness, or front-line tech platforms 
  • High school diploma/GED required. Preferably Associate Degree or higher 
Compensation:  
  • Status: part or full-time availability depends on club’s needs 
  • Part-time = 12-29 hours 
  • Full-time = 30-39 hours 
  • Pay Transparency:  
  • $18/hour
