We’re looking for a Director, Diversity Strategy to join Snap Inc! As a global brand, we believe have a duty to re-shape the way the industry thinks about, approaches, and represents Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). As a member of the People team and reporting to the VP of DEI, this leader will be a key architect of how Snap designs and implements DEI initiatives. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters or New York office, you’ll collaborate with leaders and teams across the company and balance disciplined strategic thinking, leadership skills, program design, creative passion and a willingness to be hands-on to help drive a global strategy.
What you’ll do:
Help design and implement Snap’s DEI strategy through both thought leadership and action
Define how Snap’s DEI strategy connects directly to our business goals and what drivers influence business decisions, in collaboration with leaders (including c-suite) across the company
Serve as an external/voice for Snap’s DEI efforts as appropriate, and further cultivate relationships with DEI communities, organizations, and groups
Collaborate with partners across the People team, including HR and Recruiting, to embed diversity strategies into all programs and activities in the talent lifecycle
Provide relevant data, analysis, and recommendations to guide decision-making related to strategic recruitment and retention efforts, in partnership with People Analytics
Enhance systems, and programming geared towards recruitment, retention, and fostering an inclusive culture.
Collaborate with People Leadership Team and Snap’s Executive team to promote enhanced DEI outcomes
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrable experience leading DEI strategy design and implementation in a global brand; Proven leadership abilities reflecting a creative results-oriented approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy
Proven ability to manage multiple, sophisticated company-wide global projects
Enjoy rolling your sleeves up and providing hands-on support when needed
Understand strategies to support strong diversity outcomes in recruiting, development and retention
Experience working with various organizations that support hiring diverse candidates
Experience listening and building strong internal relationships/partnerships with all levels of the organization
Effective analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy
Experience partnering with an analytics team and/or have experience in building data analytics infrastructure (for example in Workday)
Proficiency in Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
Experience delivering OFCCP requirements

Minimum Qualifications
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
8+ years of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion experience
10+ years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree
Tech industry experience in a DEI role
