Director, People & Leadership Programs
Metric Theory is looking for a Director of People & Leadership Programs to join our fast-growing team! As our Director of People & Leadership Programs, you will be responsible for managing and providing strategic oversight for all aspects of Metric Theory coaching, employee & management development. You will ensure that Metric Theory's people programs are consistent with overall company strategic objectives and will continue to develop our people operations team to implement & improve upon these initiatives. You will partner with key organization stakeholders such as senior leadership, operations, learning & development, and talent teams to understand and develop the organization's goals and strategy related to the employee lifecycle and experience.
Responsibilities include
- Work collaboratively as staff liaison with executive team to identify coaching opportunities, leadership development, and overall employee experience opportunities
- Works collaboratively with people operations and L&D in carrying out strategic direction for development of all continuing professional development programs
- Works collaboratively with people operations and L&D team to identify and provide training content for employee trainings
- Provide counsel, guidance, assistance and coaching to executives, leaders and managers during complex employee relations situations across all geographies
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for people operations staff
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, functional peers and industry groups to enhance business effectiveness
- Handles performance management of employees in accordance with company policy
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management trainings with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
- Partner with people operations team to establish and maintain benefits and compensation programs that support Metric Theory's culture and business objectives.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Ensure that our human resource policies, practices, and programs support the business strategy, management principles, legal commitments core values, and our culture
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of human resource management experience required
- At least 3 years of people management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Entrepreneurial mindset - the ability to take an idea and run with it while working autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Compensation
- The role is exempt
- Compensation: $100,000-$130,000
