Cadre is seeking a Head of People & Talent to help drive the development and scale of our dynamic team and culture by serving as a champion of our company values. Our Head of People & Talent will be responsible for organizational structure, company collaboration, leadership and development for employees and reinforcing the values that underpin our culture and drive our mission.

The Head of People and Talent will plan, manage and direct our employees as we solve complex organizational challenges. This person will be an integral part of the leadership team by understanding every aspect of the business and being a thought leader on people and organizational topics. This will require thinking big, using data to guide your work, and reinventing how work is done at Cadre.

What You’ll Do

• Develop organizational strategies by identifying and researching current people/human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with our organizational and cultural objectives.
• Implement human resources and people/talent strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, employee relations and retention
• Manage human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching and counseling staff
• Maintaining compensation and designing a transparent compensation system
• Develop human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
• Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
• Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
• Provide insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
• Consult with Cadre’s leaders to create a comprehensive people plan to influence lasting change over large functions throughout the organization.
• Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, people development, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, employee engagement, learning and development, recognition programs, and culture-carrying programs & activities

What You Have

• 6 + years HR or relevant experience
• Experience in engineering-oriented companies / cultures
• Experience overseeing and guiding senior management
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of talent acquisition and management strategies and experience building high-performing teams
• Excellent judgement and tact, including the ability to communicate crucial conversations
• Willingness and ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done at one moment and the lead complex strategy discussions the next moment.
• Ability to influence through strong relationships, expertise and data. Competence in managing a complex set of stakeholders.
• Capacity to thrive in ambiguity and tremendous amounts of autonomy
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
