SUMMARY

Based in New York, this role will join the People & Culture team as a key advocate and influencer of our culture and people related objectives and practices. As a key business partner to business leaders, you will provide strategic input, insight and advice on a variety of people initiatives. 

You are expected to have impeccable communication, project management, and ability to partner across teams and geographies. As a member of a small team, you’ll be expected to work independently and to take on new responsibilities as the need arises.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide expert and objective advice, coaching, and counsel to leaders and employees on talent programs, policy and procedures, employment/labor laws, conflict resolution, change management, and organizational development while effectively mitigating business and company risk.
  • Help shape and drive organizational wide programs that are optimized for the needs of the business through close partnership with leaders and functional experts (eg, Internal Communication, Recruiting, and Learning & Development) 
  • Identify trends, provide insights and make recommendations to address existing and potential future challenges through data analysis, detailed understanding of the business objectives, key metrics, and KPIs.
  • Counsel and provide assistance to employees and managers, guided by the Company’s policies and relevant laws/regulations
  • Drive and implement employee engagement and talent management initiatives in conjunction with leaders and assess the impact of all programs and events. This may include, facilitating internal transfers, creating growth/development opportunities, conducting exit interviews. 
  • Assist with the creation, documentation, and implementation of human resources policies, programs, and processes

REQUIREMENTS

  • Earned BS/BA in a related field
  • Have 8+ years experience working as a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, preferably in a start-up environment.
  • You have a broad knowledge and understanding of US employment laws and HR Consulting best practices. 
  • You possess excellent communication, organization, and data analysis skills
  • You’re able to prioritize well and be flexible in a fast paced environment with changing demands
  • You have a track record of successful planning and execution of HR initiatives within an organization
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and to provide a solution focused approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, adapt quickly and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without requiring Visa Sponsorship

Location

We're located on Park Ave just south of Grand Central, a few short blocks to the Empire State Building and very close to a stone throw away from Korea town.
