The Inside Sales Intern will assist in lead generation, customer relationship management, and sales reporting, while gaining exposure to the sales process.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and eager Inside Sales Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in sales. As an Inside Sales Intern, you will work closely with our sales enablement team and Marketing department to support lead generation, customer relationship management, and other sales-related activities. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in sales, sales enablement and marketing and to gain insight into the sales process within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Research & Qualification: Assist in researching and identifying potential sales leads using tools such as CRM, Datassentials, Brizo Foodmetrics, LinkedIn and other databases.
- Outreach Support: Help with introductory emails, customer outreach initiatives through Affinity Group’s Marketing Hub and AI technology to make initial contact with prospects to qualify leads.
- Sales Pipeline Assistance: Assist the sales team in maintaining and updating customer records and tracking lead progress through the sales pipeline.
- Customer Interaction: Observe and assist in virtual meetings, phone calls, and/or in person sales calls with customers to gain exposure to sales presentations and client interactions.
- Sales Reporting: Help with tracking and reporting sales activities, including follow-ups, meetings, and results, using CRM systems.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside the sales team to assist with administrative tasks, research, and client communications.
- Training & Learning: Participate in ongoing sales training and shadow experienced sales professionals to learn about sales strategies, techniques, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program (preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A willingness to learn and grow in a sales-oriented role.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to contribute to a team.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
- Positive attitude, adaptable, and eager to take on new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus but not required.
- Interest in pursuing a career in sales, sales enablement, marketing or business development.
