Job Description

About the Role

ALIS is looking for an Integrations Manager to own the day-to-day delivery and operation of our partner integrations. You will build lasting partner relationships, understand how communities use connected tools across the ALIS product suite, and deliver integration solutions using existing functionality, APIs and integration tools.

This is a hands-on role combining technical problem-solving, partner coordination and customer support. You will investigate complex issues, help partners connect successfully with ALIS, and work with Product and Engineering when a solution requires platform changes. Engineering owns production code and architecture; Product leadership owns prioritization and roadmap decisions.

Schedule Type: Candidates with 3+ years of experience may be eligible for hybrid or fully remote schedules. Relocation assistance is available. All candidates must be willing and able to travel to our Chicago headquarters at least three times per year.

For Chicagoland candidates: Onsite work is required for the first 90 days. After that, your schedule will be determined based on performance and team needs.

Salary: $95,000-$135,000

Sponsorship: We are not able to provide employment sponsorship, including OPT or STEM OPT.

Application Process: Please include a few sentences describing why you are applying for this position specifically.

Interview steps may include:

  1. Phone Screen with a recruiter

  2. Video call with PM Team Member

  3. Video call with Hiring Manager

  4. In Person interview at Chicago headquarters

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build partner relationships: Learn our partners’ products, customers and roadmaps. Represent their needs inside ALIS, communicate tradeoffs and maintain strong relationships through delivery and support.

  • Understand customer workflows: Learn ALIS across its full product suite. Understand how communities use connected tools, help them get more value from the App Store, and bring their feedback into integration improvements.

  • Discover and deliver solutions: Run discovery with partners to understand their data and workflows. Map those needs to existing ALIS functionality and design, configure and implement integration solutions using available APIs and tools.

  • Partner with Engineering: Translate integration needs into clear technical requirements. Work with Engineering on production code changes and the scalability, security and performance standards integrations must meet.

  • Own partner onboarding: Coordinate setup, testing and launch for new partners, and provide ongoing technical support.

  • Resolve complex issues: Read API documentation and system logs to investigate data exchange problems. Coordinate with partners and internal teams to drive issues through resolution. Routine setup and first-line requests remain with the existing integrations and Support teams, with this role providing coverage during absences.

  • Inform product priorities: Gather integration requests from clients, Sales and partners. Document evidence of demand, investigate existing options and recommend improvements with clear customer outcomes to Product leadership.

  • Coordinate delivery and testing: Keep the integrations backlog organized, lead scrums as needed, and work with Engineering and UX to deliver feasible, usable solutions. Conduct user acceptance testing and incorporate feedback before release.

  • Maintain documentation: Work with developers to maintain partner guides covering endpoints, webhooks and onboarding steps, alongside internal integration notes and troubleshooting resources.

  • Monitor integration health: Track live integration issues, including sync failures, outages and data discrepancies. Work with Engineering and partners to investigate problems and prevent recurrence.

  • Support launches and internal teams: Partner with Sales and Marketing on integration launches. Create documentation and train Onboarding, Support, Sales Engineering and Client Services on capabilities and setup requirements.

  • Communicate progress: Keep partners and internal stakeholders informed through clear status updates and demonstrations.

  • Experience working with APIs, webhooks and file-based integrations, including SFTP and CSV/XLS data exchange.

  • Strong judgment about when existing functionality can solve a problem and when Engineering needs to be involved.

  • The ability to build trusted relationships with partners and customers, including pushing back on requests while keeping the relationship strong.

  • Curiosity about the whole product and how people use it, from nurses and sales teams to billing managers.

  • Strong follow-through across competing requests, technical investigations and partner commitments.
