Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented IT Network Support to join our team! This role is ideal for someone starting their career in IT who is excited to learn, grow, and contribute to a modern, cloud-first IT environment.
 

The position focuses on providing excellent user support, assisting with day-
to-day IT operations, and learning from more experienced team members.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, a willingness to take
ownership of tasks, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Program background

The Gateway Program is the most urgent infrastructure program in the country – a comprehensive set of rail investments that will improve commuter and intercity services, add needed resiliency and, in its later stages, create new capacity between Newark, New Jersey and New York City, the busiest section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC). The first phase of the Gateway Program includes the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), which includes the construction of a new two-track tunnel under the Hudson River connecting to Penn Station New York as well as the full rehabilitation of the existing 110-year-old North River Tunnel. The Gateway Development Commission (GDC), established through bi-state legislation, is responsible for the financing and development of the Hudson Tunnel Project.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide Tier 1 support for IT systems, including:
  • Windows 11 environments and Dell laptops.
  • Cisco Meraki infrastructure (basic troubleshooting of switches, wireless
    access points, etc.).
  • Microsoft 365 services: Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Intune
    MDM.
  • iOS device setup and management using Apple Business Manager.
  • Assist with monitoring IT systems and escalating issues to Level 2 support
    or senior team members as needed.
  • Support ticket resolution through Zendesk or similar platforms, ensuring
    timely responses and accurate documentation.
  • Help maintain IT documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
    and knowledge base articles.
  • Perform basic asset management and inventory tracking.
  • Promote security best practices and assist with endpoint management.
  • Participate in training opportunities to develop technical skills and
    knowledge.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of IT support experience or equivalent coursework/internship
    experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange).
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems like Zendesk or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and grow within the team.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Exposure to Cisco Meraki systems or similar networking tools.
  • Basic understanding of endpoint management tools like Microsoft Intune.
  • Familiarity with iOS device setup and management.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals+, Microsoft
    MS-900).

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
