In this role, you will:
- Apply advanced Business Credit and analytical expertise to evaluate complex strategies, programs, policies, and guidelines that significantly affect Home Lending portfolio performance, credit risk, and business objectives.
- Lead quantitative impact assessments of proposed credit strategy, policy, and guideline changes using historical performance data, origination characteristics, business forecasts, scenario analysis, and external benchmarks, as appropriate.
- Develop and communicate complex analytical findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leaders and other internal stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Analyze Home Lending origination and portfolio data, credit risk metrics, and key risk indicators to identify trends, concentrations, emerging risks, opportunities, and performance drivers; investigate material changes, assess business implications, and escalate matters when appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Credit experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of experience performing quantitative analysis, impact assessments, scenario analysis, forecasting, or comparable credit risk evaluations
- 3+ years of experience analyzing large and complex datasets using SAS, SQL, Python, or comparable analytical tools
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing credit strategy, policy, or underwriting guideline changes and evaluating potential impacts to volume, portfolio performance, credit risk, or risk appetite.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical information clearly and concisely and influence and collaborate effectively across technical and nontechnical audiences and multiple business functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate multiple quantitative and qualitative factors.
- Experience developing executive reporting, dashboards, and actionable analytical insights and recommendations for senior management.
- 2+ years of experience in mortgage lending, mortgage credit risk, mortgage portfolio management, or mortgage originations analytics.
- Knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines, agency requirements, and key credit risk drivers.
