The Difference You Will Make:

We are looking for a Manager, Global Mobility to lead a high-impact team through Airbnb’s next phase of transformation into a service-led, shared-services model. This role combines people leadership, program strategy, and operational rigor. You will manage end-to-end mobility programs, ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions, partner with global vendors, and work closely with stakeholders across Legal, Payroll, Total Rewards, FP&A, and Talent.

This role requires both strategic vision and the ability to execute with precision in a complex, global environment.

A Typical Day: 

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead a team of 5 Global Mobility professionals.
  • Define and deliver the team’s service-center operating model, with clear KPIs, SLAs, and employee experience standards.
  • Partner with leadership to align mobility strategy with Airbnb’s global workforce and talent goals.

Program Oversight

  • Own mobility policies and frameworks across immigration, relocation, short-term assignments, nomad/remote work, and business travel.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulations (e.g., immigration, tax ) while balancing employee experience and business agility.
  • Anticipate geopolitical and regulatory risks (e.g., travel bans, visa restrictions) and lead proactive response planning.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive process standardization and automation through case management and reporting tools (Workday, MyTrips, Asana, etc.).
  • Oversee SOP inventory, cross-training programs, and readiness for audits or government inspections.
  • Implement financial controls for forecasting, cross-charging, and vendor invoicing to maintain a controlled environment.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with external partners.
  • Partner with Legal, Payroll, Equity, Recruiting, and FP&A on policy design, compliance, and cost management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on mobility strategy, compliance, and employee escalations.

People Development

  • Mentor and grow a high-performing team of mobility professionals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in global mobility, immigration, or related HR/Total Rewards functions.
  • Strong leadership experience, managing both teams and programs across geographies.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. and global immigration, and global mobility practices (relocation, tax, assignments).
  • A strong background in U.S. immigration is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to design scalable programs and service models in a complex, high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing vendors, budgets, and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to advise senior executives and simplify complex issues.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving change.
  • Experience leading shared-service or concierge-style mobility operations.
  • Familiarity with case management tools, mobility technology, and reporting dashboards.
  • Exposure to geopolitical and compliance risk management.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
