The Data Access team is responsible for the connectivity that fuels this system - building and growing the partnerships, platforms, and capabilities that power Mastercard Open Finance, working across financial institutions, fintechs, digital banking providers, technology partners, and industry organizations.
Within Data Access, the Data Provider Solutions (DPS) team represents the voice of the data provider. We help financial institutions strengthen connectivity, improve data quality, gain greater visibility and control, and unlock new sources of value from their participation in the Open Finance ecosystem. Our team sits at the intersection of connectivity, data, product innovation, and commercial strategy, helping shape the future of how providers engage with Open Finance.
As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in building and evolving the data assets, APIs, and intelligence capabilities that power provider experiences across Mastercard Open Finance. You will own strategic products and platforms, partner with teams across Mastercard and the broader ecosystem, and help identify new ways to transform provider data into innovative products, insights, and commercial opportunities. This is a unique opportunity to combine product management, data expertise, and innovation to help define the future of Open Finance.
Role
- Serve as a trusted product leader who brings customer needs, commercial thinking, and creative problem solving to complex business challenges.
- Own and evolve key Data Provider Solutions data products and assets, including financial institution metadata, APIs, and data management capabilities that power Mastercard Open Finance.
- Define product vision, roadmap, requirements, and success metrics while partnering closely with Engineering, Data Quality, Sales, and Global Product teams.
- Drive improvements in data quality, accuracy, enrichment, and usability, while increasing operational efficiency and ecosystem transparency for data providers.
- Lead provider-facing API and platform enhancements that improve connectivity, coverage, and customer experience.
- Analyze data and market opportunities to identify new insights, products, and commercial opportunities for financial institutions and the broader Open Finance ecosystem.
- Contribute to strategic Data Provider Solutions initiatives, including next-generation connectivity models, provider intelligence, and emerging AI-powered capabilities.
All About You
- Demonstrated product management experience with a track record of identifying customer needs, defining product strategy, and bringing products or platforms from concept to launch and ongoing optimization.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to turn rich data assets into new products, intelligence capabilities, and commercialization value.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets, including data quality, accuracy, enrichment, reporting, and governance.
- Experience with APIs, data products, platforms, and databases.
- Ability to think strategically while also managing detailed execution, requirements, and stakeholder alignment.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to challenge assumptions and explore alternative solutions.
- Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, Excel, Tableau, or similar technologies (preferred).
- Background within financial services, fintech, Open Finance, payments, or related industries (preferred).

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

Purchase, New York: $150,000 - $254,000 USD
Salt Lake City, Utah: $130,000 - $221,000 USD
