Job Description


The Manager, Sales Specialists  will lead a team of Sales Specialist professionals towards achieving growth, revenue and sales targets within the Risk business of the Government Segment. This role is a member of the leadership team and leads their team by focusing on priority touchpoints, leveraging sales enablement tools, and sales process, to generate opportunities to facilitate conversations that reinforce the value of current TR solutions and recommend additional resources that help solve customer’s problems.

Location: Remote and prefer candidate able to go to one of our hub locations (DC, MN, MI, TX)


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a Sales Specialist team accountable for driving new sales
  • Relentlessly drives for high customer satisfaction and engagement improvements
  • Applies a strategic perspective to identify solutions to complex problems
  • Drives change, innovation and accountability by executing on goals and initiatives 
  • Develops, plans and sets priorities in alignment with leadership
  • Delivery of target financial and strategy objectives
  • Accurate forecasting, and customer evaluations; consistent achievement of sales targets / update of all salesforce / reporting on market and competitor activities 
  • Partner with sales leadership to ensure alignment with retention and sales objectives as well as departmental ownership of talent development. 
  • Monitor performance through coaching, ride alongs, call monitoring, personal interaction, activity review and other measures
  • Collaborate and partner with sales support channels; Marketing, Field Sales, Finance, Human Resources etc; to enable maximum opportunity to successfully attain goals. 

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in related area and/or like work experience desired. 
  • 5+ years management experience
  • 5+ years experience with successful sales in Business to Business marketplace 
  • Deep understanding of our customers, applies knowledge of business and market dynamics to provide value-add solutions and services 
  • Ability to understand when and where to make adjustments to business operations in order to meet objectives 
  • Experience with Coaching Sales Process, product training and professional development 
  • In-depth business and industry knowledge
  • Excellent demonstrated ability to engage, communicate, and create meaningful relationships at key stakeholder and C-Level
  • Demonstrates strong people leadership skills
  • Strong B2B business development skills, including demonstrable experience in sales/up-sell, retention and solutions development
  • Highly skilled in providing effective coaching, leadership and performance management around implementing business plans, account plans, customer experience, driving awareness and adoption of our products, understanding our customer’s needs and challenges, learning and positioning new products and developing impactful sales presentation, negotiation skills and business acumen.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Solution Selling/Consultative Sales
  • Proven record of successful sales performance a plus 
  • Exceptional verbal communication and relationship building skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Ability to interact effectively with a professional client base and convey a professional demeanor during all customer exchanges 
  • Ability to adapt to change 
  • Proficient with office applications such as MS Office, Salesforce, and Xactly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Law Enforcement and Risk/Fraud Solutions Preferred

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $199,500 USD - $370,500 USD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. Target total cash compensation ranges are inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
