MDI Relationship Manager

About your role:

As an MDI Relationship Manager, you will manage a portfolio of Minority Depository Institution clients through a strategic, consultative approach that strengthens executive relationships and advances business outcomes. You will work closely with client leaders, internal partners, and cross-functional teams to support retention, identify growth opportunities, and connect clients with solutions that improve performance, satisfaction, and long-term value.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and build relationships with executive and senior-level leaders to support long-term partnership success.

  • Lead contract renewals and renegotiations that retain client relationships and deliver profitable business outcomes.

  • Identify opportunities to expand revenue by aligning client needs, business priorities, and Fiserv solutions across multiple lines of business.

  • Partner with internal sales support, marketing, service, and account management teams to address client needs and support ongoing operations.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their strategy, financial performance, and business goals, then recommend solutions that support growth and profitability.

  • Monitor client satisfaction, retention risk, and portfolio performance to meet or exceed goals for revenue, profit, and customer experience.

  • Maintain current knowledge of banking, payments, and financial services trends to support consultative client conversations and solution positioning.

  • Work with the Account Manager to help resolve client issues in a timely manner and maintain confidence in the overall relationship.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 3+ years of experience managing and growing client relationships, including developing cross-functional strategies that drive revenue growth and retention.

  • Experience in banking, payments, or financial services environments working with client portfolios and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience leading consultative sales, contract renewals, and negotiations with a consistent record of closing business and delivering measurable results.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, to support client communication, reporting, and business planning.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar electronic customer relationship management platform.

  • Master's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

  • Bilingual communication skills that support relationship management across diverse client communities.

Travel: This role require frequent travel (50%+).

Salary Range

$65,400.00 - $139,300.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Massachusetts, California (excluding Sunnyvale) and District of Columbia. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
