The Media Research Analyst will develop sales materials, analyze campaign data, and provide insights for audience targeting, contributing to campaign measurement and data-related projects.

MEDIA RESEARCH ANALYST
Summary:
The Media Research Analyst will help strategically position GSTV to ad agencies and brand marketers by using data + insights to develop sales materials, inform audience targeting, and measure campaign impact on business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assisting in campaign measurement setup & reporting, to include:
o Working with internal sellers, their clients, and external vendors to execute studies that demonstrate GSTV’s impact on specific campaign goals (lift in branding metrics, foot traffic, sales, etc.)
o Building crosstabs for analysis within provided statistical software
o Crafting presentation decks that use data to tell a story about campaign impact
· Serving as data/analytics support to the sales & marketing teams, using 1st and 3rd party data sources to fulfill daily + ad hoc requests for:
o Audience insights (demographic, geographic, behavioral)
o Advertiser and category insights
o Targeting recommendations & data
o Campaign reach & frequency
o Other sales & marketing collateral as needed
· Contributing to miscellaneous data-related projects, including but not limited to:
o Maintaining historical audience data and campaign measurement results
o Proactively updating network data with external vendors
· Conducting consumer / industry insights research using 1st and 3rd party data
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Required Qualifications include:
· Strong quantitative & analytical skills, and a desire to hone data-driven storytelling skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
· Experience analyzing raw data in common statistical software, e.g. MarketSight, SPSS, Tableau, etc.
· Foundational understanding of statistics and testing principles (e.g. test/control setup, statistical significance, sampling methods)
· Self-starter who can work independently to complete tasks
· Ability to learn & adapt quickly to new software systems
· Ability to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Foundational understanding of media math and terminology (TRPs, reach/frequency, impressions/ratings)
· Familiarity with GfK MRI survey data
· Awareness of the data landscape within the media industry – various sources and uses, legal implications, etc.
· Experience with geospatial analytic tools
· Mac experience
· Excellent presentation, writing & editing skills
· Superior verbal and written communication skills
