The Funds oversees and manages $11 billion of dollars in assets, which are made up of many, varied and complex funds. The dollars come from a number of sources, including the property owners who pay into the funds on behalf of their employees, and as such, requires those who oversee and manage the money to be highly skilled financial management people.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Multimedia Producer is responsible for creating compelling short-form videos, digital, and print content that advances the Health Funds' priorities and strengthens members' understanding of their health benefits. This hands-on creative role manages projects from concept development to production using visual storytelling, graphics, social videos, print, and other multimedia areas to support our members’ health and awareness of their benefits. This is an exciting opportunity to build a diverse portfolio of creative work while making a significant, demonstrable impact on our visual communications and advance the Health Fund’s priorities and work on behalf of 32BJ members and their families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceive, produce, shoot, and edit short-form videos that strengthen members’ health literacy, understanding of their benefits, and awareness of the Health Funds' programs and services
- Develop each video’s script, storyboard concept to suit the audience, the message, production plan, and the delivery channel based on the department's goals
- Manage pre-production through post-production details while adhering to established governance for Health Fund communications, including obtaining necessary releases and approvals, scheduling, shooting, editing, packaging, and final delivery
- Contribute visual communications expertise and recommendations to refine the Health Fund’s visual brand guidelines and design social graphics, infographics, brand templates, and other visual assets to grow and maintain the Health Fund’s visual brand library
- Produce social-first video content, educational videos, tutorials, interviews, event coverage, and other video formats for digital and internal communications channels
- Conceptualize and design health-benefit and campaign-specific postcards, flyers, and other printed materials for 32BJ members and other audiences
- Monitor and measure engagement against target metrics and optimize campaigns to improve their performance
- Photograph and record 32BJ members, Benefit Funds and Union staff, external partners, and events, as needed
- Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, maintain production schedules, and communicate project status, risks, and resource needs to appropriate stakeholders
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the Health Fund and other departments and represent 32BJ Health Fund responsibly when coordinating with vendors and external partners
- Provide other related duties and additional support as directed by senior leadership and management
Qualifications (Competencies):
- 3-5 years of experience in videography, multimedia content creation, graphic design, or a related combination of disciplines
- Able to provide a professional portfolio demonstrating video production and graphic design work
- Prior experience working in public health, healthcare, labor unions and/or nonprofit organizations
- Experience supporting internal stakeholders and translating business needs into creative deliverables
- Strong understanding of social-first video, audience behavior, visual storytelling, and the creative elements that support viewer engagement
- Excellent design skills and experience in translating complex information into clear and powerful visual communications that capture audiences’ interest, increase their awareness, and deepen their understanding
- Experience with optimizing visual content in response to audience engagement and other performance metrics
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and adapt to changes in direction or prioritization in response to business demands
- Commitment to producing content that supports health, wellness, and member education
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Film, Multimedia Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Language Skills:
Speak, read, write, and understand English required; Fluency in Spanish preferred

Adobe Certified Professional or similar design or visual communication certification preferred
