What's Clyde - Clyde is an end-to-end product protection platform that is re-thinking the way retailers increase loyalty and drive revenue, and the way customers manage their purchases. We are tackling the $50B per year extended warranty market and becoming the de facto solution in the space by leveraging an intense focus on product, design, and customer experience. Clyde delivers product protection plans directly to consumers as they shop, owning the relationship from purchase to claim submission to resolution. We know that the relationship between retailers and their customers is far from over after checkout, so we’re building products to deliver value at every stage of this relationship.

The Director of Agency Partnerships role is an exciting opportunity for those candidates that have been a part of a thriving partner team in a previous role and are eager to roll up their sleeves and truly own building out a program from the ground up. Short term goals in this role will be set toward building out the foundations of the program, while the long term vision involves building and leading a team of Partner Managers who develop and manage portfolios of premier solution partners with the goal of supporting Clyde’s customer base and driving new business revenue.

In this new role, there is an endless amount of greenfield for you to bring your previous expertise, partnerships knowledge, and boundless energy to architect a scalable program under the guidance of our VP of Business Development and Partnerships. With the incredible amount of opportunity, comes the critical need for your ability to triage incoming opportunities and prioritize mission critical projects to ensure we’re taking a prescriptive approach to partner acquisition as you are pacing to meet your main business objectives.

An opportunity to…

  • Join an early-stage company that truly understands the value of partnerships as part of its go to market strategy
  • Lead the agency partnerships channel at Clyde and be responsible for crafting a program we can go to market with at scale
  • Establish an MVP for operational infrastructure, lead management, and attribution models to ensure proper tracking and compensation for partner referrals
  • Develop and execute on a plan for new partner acquisition, working with a few select partners as early champions before scaling up the program
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create partner enablement materials, collateral, and training programs for new partners
  • Own and drive an outbound referral process and work with the sales team to identify opportunities for co-selling with partners
  • Deliver a seamless experience that will delight and encourage collaboration between Clyde’s customers, our partners, and internal teams
  • Once the foundation of the program is in place, align with Talent Acquisition to recruit, manage, and develop a team of partner managers

Requirements

  • You’ve done this before. With 3+ years of partnerships under your belt as an individual contributor or leader, you’ve contributed to the rise of a successful partner program
  • You have a background in ecommerce and understand best practices, digital marketing, the key players in the space, and have an existing network of agencies and SIs
  • You understand that the partnerships function touches nearly every aspect of the organization and you’re comfortable quarterbacking projects that require cross-departmental support
  • You’re a self-starter, thrive in ambiguity, and are comfortable working in a startup environment
  • You have a positive attitude, an analytical mindset, and you’re skilled in anticipating your partners’ needs before they do
  • You’re comfortable with some or all of our stack which includes Salesforce, Google Docs, Notion, Asana, Salesloft, Marketo, & Gong - experience with PRMs & Account Mapping tools a plus
