Your role:

The Director of Operations is responsible for the successful manufacturing and delivery of all Wall Art product orders submitted through the Gooten manufacturing network. This includes managing vendor relationships, finished product quality, and processing speed. This role has P&L responsibility for the manufacturing component of Gooten’s fulfillment services for this product group. The Director of Operations reports directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer.

How you'll power eCommerce:

• Monitor and manage profitability by intentionally balancing capacity, capability, quality, and costs of the vendor network.
• Manage distribution of orders throughout Gooten’s vendor network to maximize delivery, quality, and cost.
• Continuously reduce friction for our vendor network by eliminating file errors, image issues, software problems, or any potential issues with orders that could cause delays.
• Initiate, scope, and deliver projects to improve speed, quality, and profitability of the Gooten manufacturing network
• Coordinate internally as well as with our manufacturing partners to ensure proper raw materials are available, and identify alternatives as necessary.
• Manage projects to integrate new products and manufacturers into the Gooten network
• Perform daily follow up with vendors on any reported quality issues.
• Develop and execute holiday peak season forecast and operations plans
• Create and document processes regarding out-of-SLA orders, quality follow up, internal requests, etc.
• Document processes to monitor and communicate vendor performance and issues to internal Gooten customers
• Collaborate with teammates on the Operations leadership team to ensure consistent processes and standards.

You should have:

• 10+ years of experience in the print on demand space, specifically in the photo space and with wide format inkjet, toner based print.
• Familiarity with DTG apparel printing, screen printing, and dye sublimation technologies is a plus
• Lean manufacturing certifications or training is a plus.
• Experience personally managing large high volume, ultra short run manufacturing operations
• Strong project management skills
• A track record of continuous improvement - owning quality results and using Lean manufacturing tools to drive value and improvements.
• Proven experience managing outsource vendors, including contract discussions, pricing negotiations, and creating and delivering vendor scorecards.
• A working knowledge of color management processes and technologies
• Exceptional people skills, with the ability to communicate easily with everyone from investors to large enterprise customers to equipment operators.
• Initiative - you have to be able to take the kernel of an idea and flesh it out, frame out a solution, and then rally the resources to help push that idea across the finish line.
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
