What you will be doing
As the Director of Workforce Planning and Access, you will be contributing to our best-in-class concierge experience for our members by ensuring patients are able to get access to care at the moment they need it. You will be responsible for ensuring airtight workforce management structure and process. In this role, you will be working closely with clinical and operations leadership as an internal consultant, helping to shape our clinical operations by creating dynamic labor models that represent patient needs, informing product strategy within the sphere of scheduling and workforce management, co-creating time off and flex staffing processes with people leaders and developing a series of key performance indicators that will work to scale our organization and keep our ability to supply care delivery ahead of patient demand. This role sits in our clinical operations team and reports to the Vice President of Care Delivery Services, Shannon Shiels.
What success looks like
- Building the models and tools necessary to ensure that our field leaders are able to staff to meet patient needs; working closely with financial stakeholders to align on resources and priorities
- Optimizing clinical schedules so we offer maximum coverage while hitting financial targets, creating the standard work that will enable us to replicate this in each of our care teams
- Establishing the key performance indicators to be tracked at every management level that will help keep clinical staffing on the right track
- Analyzing patient data to find new and innovative ways to optimize our access in an ever shifting healthcare landscape
- Developing seamless end to end processes for PTO, flex and surge staffing that consider the whole system of stakeholders and the end user
- Using patient utilization data to create a robust system for panel management
- Driving root cause analysis and recommendations when things go off the rails and documenting the processes
- Planning, organizing, facilitating, and leading meetings and workgroups as well as overseeing and executing follow-up activities
- Scaling our access operations as we grow by building, training and developing a rock star team
- Co-leading (with local leaders) the training, development, and implementation of process improvements for all projects and applications
What you will bring
- 5+ years of experience in data creation and analysis
- 2+ years of management experience
- 3+ of experience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally developed processes, preferably in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business analytics or supply chain setting
- Proven track record of effective process development
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation
- Experienced in writing SQL queries for data inspection and analysis
- Adept at analyzing data and turning it into effective action plans
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience communicating insights through data with senior-level executives
- Strong relationship-building skills and communication skills
- Humble, not territorial, collaborative, high EQ
