The Jira/Confluence Administrator will work under the direction of the Infrastructure Director to manage all aspects of the Jira and Confluence environments and their impact on Services delivered. This role will be key to providing Atlassian consulting, toolset process design and implementation as well as training and go-live support for our internal customers. You must be passionate about Agile methodologies, learning, automating, and working in a highly collaborative environment.

To ensure success, the Jira/Confluence Administrator will work closely with tech managers and subject matter experts to holistically document and create process flows that impact the business and tech operations. This role will work hand in hand with all IT disciplines to ensure that architectures, applications, and systems are documented to a standard required by our regulators and meet the requirements of our jurisdictions. This role will also require an aggregate understanding of technical infrastructure, the software development life cycle, and the infrastructure. An ideal candidate will have relevant experience in DevOps and infrastructure.

What You Will Do:

  • End-to-end management of the Jira and Confluence environment
  • Technical acumen to challenge and own all changes to documentation from infrastructure, DevOps, and Software
  • Evangelization and training of industry best practices for all the above
  • Tasked with the communication and roll out of all Jira/Confluence upgrades
  • Meet with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, document workflows, and help to identify how Jira/Confluence can drive process improvements for their business function
  • Set up users, grant permissions, and provide training for all end users
  • Install, manage, and maintain Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensions
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Jira projects, workflows, access, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Jira/Confluence Administrator in a fast-paced organization
  • 3+ years in software release management 
  • Demonstrated comprehension and experience in tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Jira, Confluence, and Git to improve and speed delivery of products and services 
  • Solid understanding of business analysis (i.e. requirements gathering, workflows, user stories, etc.)
  • Demonstrated comprehension and experience in DevOps, DEVSECOPS, and containerization 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • High technical acumen and understanding of Jira add-ons, plugins, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Active Atlassian Certifications (ACP) and ITIL certifications are a huge plus

Essential Functions/Exposures:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time                                          
  • Must be able to type and talk on the phone for extended periods of time                                     
  • Regular attendance in the office
