As the Senior Manager of Asia Manufacturing and Quality, you will be leading and executing the manufacturing and quality management program for our Asia partners.  You will be driving conformance to LATCH standards at our partner locations.  This role is a hands-on, working manager position well suited for those that prefer to lead by example.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure quality control at South China based manufacturing partners
  • Manage partner quality incidents, root cause determination and quality system effectiveness using 8D methodology
  • Help drive manufacturing partner 4M Readiness for manufacturing new product/ process introductions
  • Present supplier/partner performance metrics at weekly meetings, scorecard presentations, and quarterly business reviews
  • Lead cross functional team to conduct potential supplier qualification audits
  • Monitor and drive performance improvements through inspections, first article reviews and manufacturing line validations as needed
  • Ensure quality/manufacturing data exchange between partners allows for traceability
  • Evaluate performance using statistical analysis
  • Collaborate internally for cosmetic acceptance levels and limit samples
  • Collaborate with US quality manager to address improvements at Asia suppliers
  • Collaborate with Development Engineering to drive improvements
  • Review and approve ECOs/Deviations in Arena including quality module participation

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing supplier quality management and customer quality management supporting US companies
  • Electro-mechanical product experience
  • Competent in the use and implementation of the traditional DMAIC- based problem-solving tools including Root Cause / Corrective Action using the 8D approach, 5 why’s, Pareto Analysis, DOE, Kaizen, Poka- Yoke, etc
  • Knowledge of quality and reliability concepts, statistical process control methods Knowledge of measurement systems, GD&T, and mechanical/PCB assembly 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both English and Chinese preferred)
