The Paid Media Manager supports paid media execution and performance for an assigned portfolio, solves partner-specific performance issues, manages budgets, and coordinates with stakeholders. This position requires a data-driven mindset, strong digital marketing acumen, and hands-on expertise with performance marketing, making it ideal for a growth-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

How You Will Bring Our Mission to Life

What You Will Do:

  • Digital Marketing & Performance Optimization
    • Support (via agency day-to-day management) multiple digital marketing channels, including paid search, display/programmatic, paid social, and affiliate (lead aggregators).
    • Monitor and optimize performance across the entire marketing and enrollment funnel, including engagement, front-end lead metrics and back-end conversion (application and enrollment) metrics.
    • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Partner Management & Expansion
    • Support paid media strategy and execution across 10-12 small/medium university partner accounts, ensuring campaigns are paced, optimized, and aligned to performance goals.
    • Analyze campaign performance across channels and translate findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Budget & Forecasting
    • Manage quarterly and annual media budgets.
    • Monitor spend and pacing with accuracy and accountability
  • External & Internal Stakeholder Relationships
    • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including:
      • Integrated marketing team
      • Agency
      • Ad platforms (Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.)
    • Serve as a point of contact for assigned partners and internal teams, communicating performance updates, strategy shifts, and optimization opportunities
    • Act as a subject matter resource for paid media best practices across search, social, and display channels

  • Successful lead, application and enrollment growth of medium/large-size partner accounts.
  • Professional collaboration with cross-functional teams and external media partners
  • Meet assignment deadlines without being reminded
  • Achieve Definitions of Success: Achieve annual lead, application and enrollment goals for assigned university partners. Meet LTV:CAC targets. Spend quarterly budgets within +/- 3% of goal.
  • Optimize Full Funnel Demand: Expand use of full funnel marketing strategies, including paid social and video. Decrease Cost Per Application (CPA) YOY.
  • Implement Partner-Centric Operating Model: Automate manual processes where possible. Consolidate and standardize processes where possible.
  • Build a Highly Effective Team: Establish and follow clear work plans.

  

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

 Experience That Matters Most:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field.
  • A combined 3-5 years of Higher Education paid media experience at the Media Manager and/or Media Specialist level
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for the Higher Education industry
  • A positive collaborative attitude and sense of teamwork
  • Ability to solve problems and work mostly independently
  • Ability to hit required deadlines and demonstrate flexibility as partner and organization priorities evolve
