About FenceFence is building the modern infrastructure for asset-backed finance.
We help asset originators and capital providers operate financing facilities through connected data, asset verification, ongoing monitoring, calculations, reporting and automated and instant cash-flow management.
Our platform brings these operational workflows together so investors can have maximum transparency and control without burdening asset originators. We provide the flexible, efficient and effective operating system of SPVs so capital, assets and information move instantly, 24/7.
The work to be doneYou will build relationships across financing markets and turn them into a steady pipeline of opportunities for Fence. This is a hands-on individual contributor role, with room to shape how we reach new clients and help build our commercial function.
Research priority lenders and borrowers, build a target list, open conversations and earn trust.
Learn Fence's product, develop a credible pitch and run demos that connect its capabilities to client needs.
Understand transactions taking shape between lenders and borrowers. Make useful introductions when needed and identify where Fence can add value.
Develop concrete opportunities until Sales accepts them for commercial execution.
Maintain the broader relationship and support accepted deals. Sales owns pricing, negotiation, closing and onboarding kickoff.
Keep a clear pipeline and persistent follow-up. Build new relationships beyond your starting network and turn conference conversations into opportunities.
Bring market feedback to Sales, Marketing and Product so we keep learning from clients.
You can open conversations and earn trust, especially with lenders, through curiosity, clear communication and reliable follow-through.
You can show your personal contribution to building relationships and generating opportunities, with specific examples of what you did and what advanced.
You bring initiative, organization, ambition and resourcefulness. You keep commitments and find ways forward when transactions stall.
You learn quickly, understand client needs and improve your approach after feedback.
Asset-backed finance experience and an existing network are useful, but neither is an absolute requirement.
You probably have 4-6 years of experience and have worked in finance or in BD at a Series A fintech startup .
We are an ambitious team building in a complex market.
We value direct ownership, clear writing, fast learning and high precision. We move quickly, but not casually: the work touches financial workflows where correctness matters.
