You enjoy shaping the future of product delivery as a core leader on a small, high-impact team—driving transformation across one of the world’s largest payments businesses and partnering directly with senior leaders across every Payments’ product line.
As a Product Manager Vice President on the Payments XDLC Transformation team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. You will lead the launch of cross-functional pilot Pods, apply AI and analytical tools to derive insights from how Payments teams work today, and translate those insights into the new target operating model for the Payments PDLC. You act as the voice of our “customer”—Payments product, engineering, design, risk, and controls teams—and drive measurable improvements in speed, quality, predictability, and auditability. With broad exposure across the Payments’ product lnes, you will shape and personally advance a Payments-wide transformation agenda.
Payments XDLC Transformation is a Payments-wide initiative to establish a predictable, scalable, and auditable product delivery operating model by embedding AI / agentic tools and updated ways of working across a common lifecycle. The program scope spans both the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for all of JPMC’s Payments business.
- Lead build-out of the new target operating model for the Payments PDLC, defining lifecycle stages, roles (human + agent), decision rights, governance / RACI, and how work flows across PDLC and SDLC from ideation through production support
- Lead end-to-end launch and iteration of cross-functional pilot pods, including rollout, feedback loops, office hours, and expansion from MVP toward broader adoption across Payments
- Apply AI and analytical tools (e.g., GenAI assistants, agentic workflows, BI / data tooling) to derive insights from pod activity, lifecycle telemetry, and practitioner feedback—turning those insights into operating-model direction and roadmap decisions
- Develop the strategy and vision for the Payments XDLC operating model, lifecycle standards, and ways of working—translating them into a pragmatic roadmap that delivers measurable value to Payments product and engineering teams
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
- Partner with risk, controls, compliance, and architecture to embed “built-in” controls (e.g., automated evidence, standardized guardrails) directly into operating model and lifecycle standards to improve auditability and reduce operational risk
- Collaborate with product-line and technology leaders across Payments to align the XDLC roadmap with business priorities, and coach / mentor the team members on product craft and transformation delivery
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area e.g., platform / developer-experience product, AI product, enterprise technology transformation, change management)
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Hands-on experimenter with current GenAI and agentic concepts (e.g., tool / function calling, workflow orchestration, retrieval, evaluations) and how to apply them safely in enterprise environments
- Strong relationship and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships and influence senior business and technology executives
- Independent, “go-getter” orientation—comfortable operating with ambiguity on a small team and personally driving outcomes end-to-end
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills; able to translate complex technical topics into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and partnering with engineering, design, risk, and controls partners to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Prior Product experience within Payments or the broader CIB, including familiarity with end-to-end payment flows and modern payments capabilities
- Experience leading change management or transformation programs in a highly matrixed, complex organization within financial services or another regulated industry
- Experience shaping and scaling operating models, lifecycle standards, or developer experience programs used by internal engineering and product teams
- Working knowledge of modern agile product delivery models and software engineering practices (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, DevOps, CI/CD) across the PDLC and SDLC
- Proficiency using AI tools and platforms in day-to-day work for operational efficiency
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
