Job Description

  • Multiple active contract updates—Sick Cashouts, Annual Sick Cashouts, and different union sidebar agreements—require ongoing system redesign, testing, and deployment.
  • Working with Pension department on Tier 6 Pension issues
  • Sick Time (GOOD/BAD) category changes to the process
  • These changes must be executed without jeopardizing payroll accuracy, leave management, or union compliance.
  • The current consultants already support these modules; replacing them introduces unacceptable risk during active contract implementations.
UTS Modernization Effort

  •  Integrations with HASTUS, Insight, Kronos, BSC payroll, TLCS, CIS/BO, and Data Lake
  • Exact replication of PICK screens, logic, LOVs, triggers, and reports in APEX/BI Publisher depends on consultants with deep system history and design knowledge.
  • Their continued presence is critical for:
  • Requirements validation
  • Architecture review
  • Performance baselining
  • QA/UAT cycles
  • Vendor oversight and defect remediation
  • Without these consultants, modernization timelines, quality gates, and production readiness would be at risk.
ATS Migration (20,000+ Employees Moving into UTS)
  • ATS is a 45 year old mainframe system with no modifiability and limited expertise remaining.
  • Transitioning ATS functions into UTS requires detailed understanding of UTS current workflows, timekeeping rules, crew management, and attendance processes.
  • The consultants already support these integrations and are essential to prevent data migration issues, reporting gaps, and payroll inconsistencies during transition.
  • High Risk of not having consultant
  • UTS is highly customized, union driven, and deeply integrated across multiple agencies.
  • Losing consultants during modernization and integration phases would:
  • Slow down delivery
  • Introduce critical defects
  • Increase operational outages
  • Delay ATS onboarding
Skills/experience of the assigned staff:
Required

  • In-depth understanding of Workforce Management and Timekeeping systems.
  • Experienced in providing 24/7 support for mission-critical applications, ensuring high availability and business continuity.
  • Strong background in production support, incident management, and system maintenance.
