Are you ready to join the programmatic evolution?
Index Exchange is seeking a Partnership Manager to join our DSP Partnerships team. This role owns a defined portfolio of DSP relationships, serving as the commercial and technical bridge between Index supply and DSP demand activation, while working cross-functionally across a variety of internal teams.
It is the Partnership Manager's job to ensure that Index exceeds our partners' expectations by providing an excellent level of service. The ability to work independently and to be responsible, enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated is a must. You will use your knowledge and your understanding of Index's offerings to position complex, innovative, real-time media trading solutions as simple, accessible, and easy to understand. As a partner advocate you will track, resolve and/or escalate issues while communicating updates and managing expectations both internally and externally. Overall, for the right candidate this role provides an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a team and company well-positioned for continued growth.
What we’re looking for:
- Knowledgeable: A core requirement is a deep understanding of the advertising technology ecosystem. You will act as a dependable resource, addressing questions, issues, and requests. Proficiency in systems such as Excel, PowerPoint, Looker, Trello, Confluence, and SalesForce is encouraged for effective performance in this role.
- Collaborative: You will work cross-functionally with other Index Exchange Services and Product teams to execute operational strategies and document new processes that unlock available opportunities.
- Problem Solving: The relationships you will manage require creativity and flexibility to service effectively. Adapting to changing circumstances in a timely manner is crucial as this line of business continues to grow.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Own and grow a defined portfolio of DSP partnerships, managing each account throughout the entire lifecycle, including onboarding, optimizations, and account planning.
- Understand how each DSP in your book scores and bids on Index inventory, identify where Index is not being read correctly by a partner's algorithm, and drive resolution jointly with Technical Ops.
- Know how each DSP in your book structures its market, whether open auction, curated deals, always-on deals, or programmatic guaranteed, and close the gaps between how they buy and how Index supply is packaged.
- Drive outcomes across your book of business by monitoring and analyzing key performance trends, identifying and unlocking new opportunities based on these insights.
- Build a joint growth agenda for each partner in your book and run QBRs that produce decisions, commitments, and roadmap intelligence, rather than just a review of the data.
- Perform operational tasks such as daily performance monitoring, custom report creation, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with your manager to drive Index adoption and upsells by deeply understanding partner needs and product knowledge. Serve as the day-to-day contact for your accounts.
- Gather DSP roadmap intelligence, including format changes, ID strategy, and AI/bidding developments, and route it into Index's product planning cycle.
- Utilize Salesforce, Trello, and other internal systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date account information.
- Track, resolve, and/or escalate partner issues while effectively communicating updates and managing expectations internally and externally.
Here's what you need:
- 3+ years of experience in an account management capacity, preferably within the advertising technology sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and polish.
- Strong work ethic and creative mindset, willing to go the extra mile to meet partner needs and deliverables.
- Goal-oriented approach to your book of business, constantly prioritizing within your accounts to add value.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and a focus on process refinement and efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or a technology-related field.
- Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms such as SalesForce, Looker, Trello, and Confluence.
Salary: The base salary range for this role is USD $85,000-$110,000. The total compensation package may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Why you’ll love working here:
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents
- Paid time off, health days, and personal obligation days plus flexible work schedules
- Competitive retirement matching plans
- Equity packages
- Generous parental leave available to birthing, non-birthing, and adoptive parents
- Annual well-being allowance plus fitness discounts and group wellness activities
- Employee assistance program
- Mental health first aid program that provides an in-the-moment point of contact and reassurance
- One day of volunteer time off per year and a donation-matching program
- Monthly town halls and regular community-led team events
- Multiple resources and programming to support continuous learning
