Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Help oversee Americas media relations to enhance visibility and credibility
- Develop and execute a comprehensive media strategy for certain areas of the Americas business
- Manage relationships with key journalists and industry influencers; ensure proactive and reactive messaging is consistent and timely
- Partner with the business to identify media opportunities for thought leadership and commentary to position the Company as expert advisors
- Develop pitches and press releases
- Crisis communications support
- Deliver media training when needed to support the business
- Field in-bound media requests
- Provide clear PR metrics/results to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Track and report relevant media coverage and social conversations
- Collaborate with the social media team on social posts and recommendations
- Secure and vet speaking opportunities, prepare spokespeople with talking points
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing.
- 5-7 years of experience in PR or corporate communications.
- Commercial real estate industry experience preferred.
- Proven, comparable experience in the job’s areas of responsibility.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and storytelling skills.
- Experience working directly with executives and providing communications council.
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to balance multiple priorities, stakeholders and timelines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative while working well in a group environment.
- Ability to use sound judgment and demonstrate executive presence when working with senior leaders.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
