We’re solving the toughest challenges for Finance teams that focus on performance management, consolidations, and reporting. We have always had world-class flexibility and user adoption, but now, with our out-of-the-box Finance Applications and embedded Anaplan Intelligence platform, we are delivering more value than ever, faster.  
 
Within Anaplan’s Finance Center of Excellence as a Principal Product Manager – Finance Applications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping applications for planning, forecasting, and reporting use cases, and will be responsible for overseeing the product lifecycle of specific applications, from concept to delivery. You will collaborate with Application Solutions Architects and Finance Product Management teams, guide and advise our Application Builders Team, and ensure the successful adoption and implementation of these applications by our GTM and Professional Services teams. 
 
This is a unique opportunity for an innovative, results-driven product manager to drive Anaplan’s Finance solutions. The role requires proven application product management expertise, the ability to optimize processes, rigorous attention to detail and deadlines, and outstanding communication and presentation skills, 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate defining and managing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for specific Finance Applications targeting the office of the CFO. 
  • Drive the delivery of Finance Applications incorporating the suite of Anaplan platform components (including model and UX building, Application Framework, AI, user management, data integration, reporting, forecasting, etc.) by: 
  • Gathering and prioritizing application requirements from internal/external SMEs and customers. 
  • Documenting and managing the application design, resourcing, workplan and critical paths, from approval to delivery; Ensuring adherence to best practices, application building standards, and project timelines. 
  • Collaborate with Anaplan QA Teams to develop test plans, automate testing processes, and identify and resolve defects. 
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of Finance Applications. 
  • Partner with Anaplan’s Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and GTM Enablement Teams to ensure seamless integration of Finance Applications into Anaplan’s GTM motion by: 
  • Supporting the creation of compelling conceptual demos and all supporting content including training, guides, play books to empower partners and internal teams.  
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for Finance Applications, including user guides, release notes, and technical specifications. 

 

Key Metrics 

  • Delivery to the market of Finance Applications and feature enhancements 
  • Adoption and successful completion of enablement by Anaplan Teams. 
  • Value of sales of Finance Applications 
  • Evaluation and feedback from Product Management, Sales, Solution Consulting, Professional Services, and GTM Enablement. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. 
  • Proven experience in product management and application development, with a focus on finance-related software solutions.  
  • Strong understanding of financial planning processes, methodologies, and systems with domain expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) 
  • Experience building multi-dimensional planning models, ideally on the Anaplan platform. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Base Salary Range:
$190,000$257,000 USD
