Proskauer is seeking an energetic and hardworking Intern to join our Pro Bono Department. This position will support the Pro Bono team with day-to-day operations and administrative projects. This position requires a commitment of 10 hours per week and is based in our 11 Times Square office, Monday through Thursday. The specific schedule will be determined based on the Intern’s course schedule and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Track, update, and record the status of pro bono matters in the Firm’s pro bono database
  • Assist Pro Bono Department in planning and hosting pro bono events and training programs
  • Assist Pro Bono Department in developing pro bono marketing content for Firm’s website and blog
  • Work with Pro Bono Department and Information Technology team to update and enhance the pro bono training materials and opportunity listings on the Firm’s intranet
  • Work with Pro Bono Department and Finance team to respond to pro bono audits and surveys
  • Perform research and/or other special projects for the Pro Bono Department 
Qualifications
  • Must be a current college Sophomore, Junior or Senior in excellent standing
  • Demonstrated commitment to public service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytic and organizational skills
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience with charitable or nonprofit organizations is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of a team with a positive attitude
  • Ability to carry out certain tasks with minimal supervision after instruction has been provided
  • High level of attention to detail and meticulous follow through
  • Ability to be proactive and a self-starter

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis. The anticipated compensation for this position is $17.50 per hour. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
